AUSTIN, Texas — Texas Gov. Rick Perry fired up an anti-tax "tea party" Wednesday with his stance against the federal government and for states' rights as some in his U.S. flag-waving audience shouted, "Secede!"

I live in Corpus Christi (military). This place is despicable. Illegals outnumber the citizens. Anchor babies are coming of age in regards to voting. Texas WILL turn blue within 4 years!!!!!!!

If Texas secedes, we’re moving.

Who says you'll be able to emigrate? Or whether they (Texas) will even give you a visa?

Doesn’t have to be a military separation. The liberals would probably be happy to see us leave if we work out the details. Remember, then we could promise that they’d never get another Bush from Texas as President.

On top of which, the South probably would have been left to go their own way if that IDIOT Chesnut hadn’t opened fire on Fort Sumter. He should have starved them out and taken their surrender afterwards.

Wow what bold talk. Hopefully the country won’t have to break up.

I’ve often felt like the South stands a good chance of leaving the union if things get bad. The people here just won’t take the bull that our new regime would like to pull.

It all depends on how much they try with us...

West from Wichita Fall, South of Lubbock, North of San Angelo, and West to NM. The Big Nothing.

It is very nice in the winter, but summers can be hot. But most of the summer it is a dry hot, not muggy.

If you want specific locations, e-mail me.

Pretty much everything but “community organizer” is available to one degree or other. Anything from hanging steel to building/maintaining nuclear weapons.

I’ve got mixed feelings on Perry given his past wind checking on illegal immigration. That said he does seem to have settled pretty firmly on the side of border security for quite a while now.

Please explain in that you're from Michigan...

Texas history was my very favorite subject.

Whats with the democrats appointing bull dykes to positions where they can send the stormtroopers out?.

That freak Reno massacred scores and bull dyke Napolitano is walking in her footsteps, probably make Reno look like a piker by the time shes done.

I doubt that; for Lincoln it was all about preserving the union. Incidentally, Edmund Ruffin (a Virginian) actually fired the first shot at Ft. Sumter (he later, upon hearing of the surrender at Appomattox, wrapped himself in a Confederate flag and blew his brains out.) I believe you are thinking of Mary Chesnut who chronicled much of the war in her diary for the South.

Mine too... we had to make a scrapbook of Texas History... I remember burning the edges of a paper to make it look “old”... as a faked letter from Stephen Austin. :-)

The constitution didn’t outlaw swcession, still doesn’t for that matter. They would not ever have got it ratified if the staes thought it was a one way deal. Interesting to note the confederate Constitution corrected this and referred to a Perpetual union. Mostly it is a copy of the U.S. Constitution.

Colonel James Chesnut, Jr. is the idiot who asked for Fort Sumter’s surrender, and when he didn’t get it, ordered his forces to fire into the Fort.
