HR 45 Blair Holt is a propsed bill flying under the radar at House of Representatives proposed in Jan 09 to amend the Brady Law, which will make it mandatory to have fingerprints, mental evaluations for handguns with additional fees and if you have children inspected storage on a regular basis with prison terms of 5 yrs if you violate, and restricts certain guns (rifles) to assault rifle status according to a 29 yr Marine on Cunningham's radio show.

Everyone remember the line in the sand -
registration, confiscatory taxation, or any attempts to confiscate arms already owned.
Any of these steps are de facto confiscation, and this must not be allowed, regardless of the means of resistance.
i didnt see the definition of the types of firearms covered, did i miss it? is it all guns or just assault weapons etc?
The danger here is the Antis will use this as their basis for 'compromise' and a LOT of the Congress would be willing to deal on.
The Dihms know gun-control is a loser for them, and with most of the country pissed off as it is, they do not want to throw gas on a smoldering fire. 2010 is too close for a lot of them.
NO New Laws!
Then we vote from the rooftops.
Hunter?
This has nothing at all to do with hunters. Duh
If a hunting rifle is declared to be the same as an assault rifle, and illegal...just what part of that would not be of interest to a hunter. Just the purchasing red tape and restrictions will impair ownership.
This is the most restrictive gunlaw ever in terms of ownership, and don’t think if they can’t get this passed that more aren’t on the horizon.
Check out HR 1022 says another Freeper. I heard this from a 29 yr vet of the Marine Corp on Cunningham show and looked up his bill number stated on air.
This is a second amendment issue, plain and simple.

Another freeper said this HR1022 has about 50 supporters which is not good. The HR45 is more about restrictive ownership and if you want to sell your gun or buy one. Either way there are at least 7-8 bills since 2007 dealing with guns...this bunch will slip things through in the middle of the night or other bills, if they can....we must be diligent and aware of everything regarding guns that they suggest or pass.
Here is link to HR1022 from 2007 that another FR says now has 50 supporters....my idea is watch what they are doing carefully, to make sure NOTHING to do with restricting gun ownership regarding the 2nd Amendment slides under the radar. Changes could impact current owners with risks of arrest down the road, when the evils want to get ugly.

This bill restricts gun selling and buying to dealers, and when buying you sign up for the inspections of your home storage if you have children.....
HR1022 has 50 supporters and has to deal with assault rifles. The HR1022 number wasn’t on my orig post, but came from another freeper...the marine on the radio only gave HR45 but both are restrictive ownership and ability to buy and sell a gun...or own a certain types of rifles...
“The REAL definition of an Assault Weapon - a liberal controlled Whitehouse and CONgress”
You couldn’t be more right....and they will pump as many bills as they can into the system on this hoping to slide one by in an amendment to another bill. That is how those environmental water restrictive bills got by in state legislature, that harm farmers.
That’s why the dems changed the Fairness Doctrine name to the DIVERSITY ISSUE on radio fairness.
It includes a lot of semi shotguns and a few other rifles not included in the first AWB. It is more stringent and requires and sale of 'assault weapons' to process through an FFL.
This is something we, as gun owners, have to be on the lookout.
The antis will bring out Blair Holt and then say ...."Ok, if we can't have all of that we will compromise for this(HR1022)."
Too many will go for the less draconian.
If either of these comes remotely close to a vote on the floor or inclusion in some piece of legislation, we should show up at the capital steps with pitchforks and torches.
Enough is enough.
no co sponsors might be a hint.
It still needs to be defeated soundly so that it will never rear its ugly head!!!
Only tyrants wish to remove our right to protect ourselves from them. Our forefathers gave us the right to protect ourselves. Now, the question is, when we will use it?
The second amendment has nothing to do with hunting or hunters, and the communists/socialists in congress know it. So should you.
You are full of crap and you take your propganda to someone else, because hunters use the same guns to protect their families you jerk!
You just made the points I was trying to make by posting all of this...they will try every trick in the book to get more stringent gun control.
