1022 is Carolyn McCarthys new AWB it was tabled during the last Congress.

It includes a lot of semi shotguns and a few other rifles not included in the first AWB. It is more stringent and requires and sale of 'assault weapons' to process through an FFL.

This is something we, as gun owners, have to be on the lookout.

The antis will bring out Blair Holt and then say ...."Ok, if we can't have all of that we will compromise for this(HR1022)."

Too many will go for the less draconian.

If either of these comes remotely close to a vote on the floor or inclusion in some piece of legislation, we should show up at the capital steps with pitchforks and torches.

Enough is enough.

That was last year's bill. This year's HR 1022 is "Tom Lantos Pulmonary Hypertension Research and Education Act of 2009"

I did a quick search, of the bill texts, for this Congress on "semiautomatic" and "weapon", separately, and found no comparable bill has been filed this Congress...YET. Although it's always possible something is hidden in the appropriations act. But If so it's not in the BATFE appropriation, that I looked at.
