i didnt see the definition of the types of firearms covered, did i miss it? is it all guns or just assault weapons etc?

Another freeper said this HR1022 has about 50 supporters which is not good. The HR45 is more about restrictive ownership and if you want to sell your gun or buy one. Either way there are at least 7-8 bills since 2007 dealing with guns...this bunch will slip things through in the middle of the night or other bills, if they can....we must be diligent and aware of everything regarding guns that they suggest or pass.

Yes you did. It's in

SEC. 3. DEFINITIONS.
...
(2) QUALIFYING FIREARM- The term `qualifying firearm' has the meaning given the term in section 921(a) of title 18, United States Code, as amended by subsection (b) of this section.

(b) Amendment to Title 18, United States Code- Section 921
`(36) The term `qualifying firearm'--

`(A) means--

`(i) any handgun; or

`(ii) any semiautomatic firearm that can accept any detachable ammunition feeding device; and

`(B) does not include any antique.'.
