It’s not called State of the Union when a president so soon after inauguration gives a speech that really is a State of the Union speech. (I heard this today on Fox - someone asked the same question).

I think the more people hear Zero with is angry and condescending tone they will eventually tune him out. Just like kids tune out their Moms yelling at them. I thought Jindal was great, didn't show any anger...that is what Zero's all about.

I agree. We need an alpha male. We need a real strong man to take down the metro sexual that is now President. I like Jindal, but I want someone that is tough as nails and sticks to his guns and isn’t afraid to say that he doesn’t support the dem president.

Jindal showed a lack of “gravitas,” I think. We know he is brilliant and an accomplished politician. But in this era when image is so important, and we are up against masters of manipulation, then we need a better spokesperson on our side. Jindal’s substance was good but if he is not more persuasive on camera, this hurts his cause.

I listened to about half of it on Fox when I saw someone say he sounded better on CNN so I switched over and sure enough his voice was strong, sincere, and very well delivered versus the garbled version on Fox. Makes me wonder about Fox. BTW, this is the first I have watched any of the Cable News Channels since the day before Bush left office and going back to my boycott. I didn’t listen to ZERO at all. I don’t even listen to local news because I don’t want to hear about ZERO.

The effect has been exactly the opposite. Sarah Palin is STILL proven to be the GOP's ONLY "rock star."

It remains to be seen if Governor Palin will recover enough in four years to be able to win the general. But certainly she'll be recovered in eight.

Jindal is not the candidate to beat Obama in 2012. He doesn't have it. We cannot afford to get it wrong again.

Relax everybody. Jindal will come back. Remember how Bill Clinton’s speech bombed at the ‘88 Dem Convention? When he said: “And in closing....” the crowd cheered wildly. I’d say he made a comeback. Bobby will be o.k.
