This week, as a guest on a Spanish language radio show, President Obama stated his continued support for giving amnesty to 12 million illegal immigrants, which would force Americans looking for a job to compete with amnestied aliens for work. (El Piolin Interview, February 18, 2009 and CBS4 South Florida).
During the radio interview, President Obama said: "We're going to start by really trying to work on how to improve the current [immigration] system so that people who want to be naturalized, who want to become citizens
are able to do it; that it's cheaper, that it's faster, that they have an easier time in terms of sponsoring family members." Following that, President Obama acknowledged what legal American workers already know intuitively that amnesty is not in their best interest but then endorsed amnesty anyway. President Obama said: "And then we've got to have comprehensive immigration reform.
Politically it's going to be tough. It's probably tougher now than it was, partly because of the fact that the economy has gotten worse." (El Piolin).

Better hurry! They all starting to head south because of your economy here Obama. Have to act fast.
Keep pushing the people, Odumbo. Keep pushing...
And the % of these foreclosures that were illegals’ responsibility? Today I saw a figure of +/- 40%. Can’t find it now.
An article from some time back:

They’ll be met with rocket fired grenades and such, at some border crossings. Several have been closed. Mexico sounds as if it’s teetering on civil war.
Combine amnesty with a mass refugee situation, and we’re well and truly sunk, imho.
In Vegas, I bet the over-under for illegals still here is probably about 30 million.
The US isn’t too far from it either.
Yeah. I was going to ask “What about the other 18 million illegal aliens?”
Is there room up our collective a$$es to have this rammed up there to. A bridge to far zero!
The GOP bootlickers will be helping him accomplish it too.
Well...of course. Between savaging the census and this new push for amnesty, the DhimmiRats seek to secure their hold on political power right up to the next revolution...
HMMMM, if the unemployment rate includes the illegal aliens, wouldn’t simply deporting them drop the unemployment rate immediately. And, if the rate does not include them, wouldn’t deporting them help the re-employment rate of American workers. Or have I missed something?
.....Bob
Here we go down that wrong road again....
Given a choice of two, the failing nascent obama regime will invariably choose the one that means greater grief for all Americans, whether they voted for him or not.
Mexico is actually a simple problem. Simply annex the country, and treat it as a colonial entity, part of the greater American empire. Then the Mexicans may become participating citizens when they have individually demonstrated their capacity to serve as full and useful members of the broader definition of “citizen”. No blanket amnesties, please.
He has to push amnesty and fast. He needs enough voters and people who are ignorant enough of this country’s guiding principles to continue down the path he’s on. I am sure this tea party backlash convinces him of it more.
Amnesty isn’t the agenda. Totalitarian Marxism is the agenda and illegal aliens are the votes needed to achieve it.
That doesn't make the 40% all illegals. Many "hispanics" are citizens. However, the overall number makes sense, since the lenders were being pushed specifically to give loans to unqualified *minorities,* not white people.
This is ONE issue that is hot button even for the moderate left. The majority of Americans do NOT support amnesty for illegals. Of course, Zero is trying to shore up his voting base so that they’re all on a fast-track to citizenship in time for ACORN to register them in 2012.
No way this gets through Congress. Many of them know how much trouble they’re in because of the Porkulus bill. They aren’t going to go back and try to face their constituents giving amnesty to the cheap labor crowd in the face of 7% unemployment, a lot of it in blue collar jobs.
Whatever came of that story about the Texas National Guard being called up and sent to the border, due to this drug cartel war, insurgency or whatever they’ve decided to call it? Is it rumor, or accurate?
