Loyal to Liberty THOUGHTLET
What signals the difference between a "socialist" and a "communist"? It's the gradual repression of political and civil liberty culminating in the open prosecution and suppression of dissident views. But this suppression cannot come about until a monopoly has been established over access to the seats of government executive and decision making power. The key manifestation of this monopoly is of course some form of party dictatorship.
Aside from all the evidence in his known background, associates, policy preferences and political actions one of the main reasons I make bold to call Obama a communist is his grab for unchecked partisan control over the conduct of the next census. Skillful manipulation of the census could make the decisive contribution to establishing an electorally unchallengeable party monopoly, which would then provide the basis for consolidating party dictatorship. If such dictatorship were not part of their agenda, the Obama faction would leave ultimate oversight of the census process where the Constitution places it in the hands of the legislative branch. As it clearly is part of their agenda, only ignorance or willful stupidity blinds people to Obama's ambition to establish a better tailored version of Soviet-style government in the U.S.
Of course, there may be another name for what keeps some of the so-called Republicans from speaking out about it. Could it be cowardice?

“A communist is a socialist with a gun in his hand.”
BTTT
A socialist is a communist without a gun in his hands.
Shouldn't you be over at DU?
Hell, bozo’s mother was a communist. Her father was a communist. For many years bozo only knew communists. Most of his friends are marxists. No surprise here except for the legions of dumb americans who voted for him.
I loved the sound bite of Tom Brokaw after the election saying “we don’t know much about him.” How about the MSM didn’t do their rightful job and instead kissed ass for 2 years.
Obama has never sought a job that required a background check.
Thanks for the ping. Keyes is right: Obama is creating a dictatorship.
The joke about "How do you know Obama is lying? He lips are moving" is no longer funny but true. In fact, I find absolutely nothing at all amusing about having a Socialist fraud pretending to be our Leader along with the vapid Left wing of American politics.
The vindictiveness and vile language of the Left far exceeds any standard of normalcy or civility, even by their own self-righteous standards. It is a trademark of the Left to verbally and viciously attack anyone who does not agree with them. Yet, by the same token, they are also the first ones to cry out that they are being verbally assaulted, even when the language is rather mild.
All one needs to see as proof are the truths that Fight the Smears called "Smears," and the lies told by FTS, Factcheck, Snopes, Politico, Polifact, AP, MSNBC and the like as if they were indisputable. Out of one side of their mouths they talk about Obama as if he can do no wrong, and out of the other side, they call John McCain's campaign, "the dirtiest Presidental campaign in history."
If Obama told his Leftist supporters that the economy would improve if they ate cow patties instead of hamburger patties, you'd see all of his flock, literally "out in the field" stocking up on them. There is nothing so outlandish that his followers will not believe.
Yesterday, Obama said that he will cut the deficit in half by the end of his term. Of course, he will...after quadrupling it by mid-term, and then blaming the rise on Republicans.
When someone has a TV news show called, "Hardball," but says that he gets a thrill down his leg when he hears Obama talk, and says that his job is to make the Obama presidency work, it does not get much more oxymoronic than that.
People were surprised to hear that Obama no longer supports the "Fairness doctrine." Why would he when he has ALL of the news media in his hip pocket?
“Keyes is a kook, and him screaming this from the rooftops, although accurate, is counter-productive.”
That was a kooky statement.
This government conspiracy is 45 years old, and it goes back the Communist Party 1963 about taking over a party. Now we know that is Democrats. The Students for a Democratic Society (Marxists) had numbers of over 100,000 in late sixties when they suddenly disbanned, but that is the deception...they never disbanned, but agreed to go into teaching (Ayers/Dorn went to weather underground violence first), politics, arts, business and work within the system to destroy America from within ...toward a Communist Government. We are now seeing that RED group invested in the EStablishment with power to destory it, and they have now become counselors to the newly established NEW Students of a Democrat Society (recruits) to their cause.
It wouldn't surprise me if Obama is a communist. He sure seems like it. However, Keyes's kookiness makes him a less than credible witness...
A SUMMARY MOMENT occurred during the primary in New Hampshire, with interesting omens for the Republican future...
The summary event I mentioned took place during a debate in the New Hampshire contest, moderated by Tim Russert. It was a moment when the redoubtable Keyesa preacher without a churchstepped forward to call Sen. McCain to judgment. McCain's mortal sin was to reveal that he had been to a rock concert with his fifteen-year-old daughter and had liked a band called Nine Inch Nails.
Unfortunately, Nine Inch Nails is a heavy-metal group whose cacophonies are spiked with four-letter words. McCain's inept bid to join the popular culture was reminiscent of other failed Republican efforts, as when Ronald Reagan's staff tried to appropriate a song by Bruce Springsteen as its campaign theme back in the '80s, whereupon Springsteen threatened to sue. The Reagan team had neglected to note that the rock star was so far over the left cliff he thought the Communists were the heroes in Vietnam and Republicans the aggressors.
In New Hampshire, McCain's misstep allowed Keyes to turn his lamp of righteousness on his hapless opponent.
Keyes (sternly): Don't you think that as leaders we ought to be a little bit more serious about the kind of influences that are now destroying the lives of our children, instead of aiding and abetting the cultural murder that is taking place?
McCain (to Russert): Can I get a life-line? (laughter)
Russert: Who do you want to call?
McCain: My 15-year-old daughter. (laughter)
Keyes (glowering): I'm a father and I've got to tell youI'm not laughing.
It was as if Keyes had caught the Senator making whoopie with the Antichrist.
ILLINOIS REPUBLICANS, at one time a canny and crafty lot, have made a stupid error in hiring Alan Keyes to slap together what's left of the party's U.S. Senate nomination and go howling off into battle against Democrat Barack Obama. The Democrat's wunder-candidate will give this race national attention and the local GOPer's thick-headed Grand Strategy--"hmmm, they've got a black candidate who can give one hell of a speech . . . we need a black candidate who can give a fiery speech"--is likely to set the already tattered Illinois Republican party back at least another five years...
Obviously, I'm not a big Alan Keyes fan. My last significant encounter with the former ambassador occurred at the door of a local television station in Atlanta Georgia in the spring of 1996. The station was holding a TV debate for the presidential primary and had banned Keyes, who was then running for president. My candidate, former governor Lamar Alexander, and I had the bad timing to enter the station at exactly the moment Keyes was attempting a media stunt that included chaining himself to the front door. A minor scuffle occurred and I remember the priceless look on the normally unflappable Gov. Alexander's face when he realized that he was a split second away from becoming hopelessly chained to a frothing Alan Keyes in front a phalanx of glaring TV lights and news cameras. Zigzagging in a flash like an NFL running back, Alexander shot through the door like a rocket, evading Keyes and pulling me through in his draft alone. It was the highlight of the Alexander for President campaign in Georgia.
I'm certain Ambassador Keyes is now busily at work printing up some "Crazy Times Demand a Crazy Senator" yard signs and oiling his trusty chains for a repeat performance in Chicago this fall...
“Waiting for the bed wetting FReepers to go into their Keyes is nuts routine.”
LOL You owe me a new screen!
For starters, they need to get on board with the other legislators who are suing Obama.
who would you believe? I’m curious.
You’ll notice that the Obama researchers are busy. They feel threatened.
As well as those who said vote “None of the above.
Hey, don't go cracking on NIN!. Trent would make a better (and legal) President than Hussein.
