Bus driver Minta Garcia admits that she and her husband bought more house than they could afford, but she said "the lender made the purchase all too easy." Now the home that she purchased for $800K is worth $675K and she wants Obama to "Stop the foreclosures".

I will not call it a success. Obama and the left wing liberal class warfare is about having the poor getting angry at the rich but what they are getting now is something they did want at all and that is the Producers getting angry at the Parasites.
More than likely, they rolled debt into the house.
Thats pretty much what most cafeterias supply ;), hence the obesity epidemic with our youth today. Couple that with the video games and computers, and tv’s these “reduced lunch crowd” kids have, and there you have it. I am sure they spend at least 2$ a day on soda, candy or chips as well.
Jeez, what is this world coming to?
Nonsense. This person didn't just make a "bad decision". This is beyond stupid. This is SCAM. I'll even bet they pocketed $20,000 or more when they mortgaged the house for it's "assessed" value rather than the purchace price, and spent the money on a new car to boot.
Her plan was probably to flip the house as soon as possible, but got caught in the bubble burst. This SCAM has been going on all across the USA.
“Did she and her husband lie on their loan ap?”
Here, is the way it is done....the husband is a construction worker, and during the season, makes big bucks, what with overtime etc, and she drives a school bus...hence their immediate combined monthly income, they were qualfied...no one bother to ask what whappens when school is out, and construction slows..
Is it just my conspiracy mind that feels this whole thing is beyond just a person who chose (stupidly) to live above his means -— and banks who allowed it? Who was driving the banks? If Acorn, or the like, was involved — who pressured them? Part of a ‘grand design’?
Bfltr
A few months back I ran across a story of a fruit-picker in Bakersfield, CA who bought a $700,000 house on an income of $14,000 a year.
Lawsuits.
ping
‘Nobody bothered’ or were they even allowed to ask? I read somewhere that because of the ACORN folks and the laws that the dems pushed through congress during the Clinton era...the banks are now required to accept ‘welfare’ as a source of income...with no prejudice. Some of these people were not even required to have downpayments or jobs!!
Everytime we have bought homes over the years, we were required to bring in several years worth of tax returns.
Is that only required of the responsible people in society now and not the looters?
Questions questions....lol
Is there a ‘republican’ tea party? Not sure what you are referring to.
Yes...
as with everything else that liberals do,
the responsible are punished to reward the irresponsible,
in the name of the meaningless term “social justice”.
Well, with 'the new math' now taught in screwuls (schools), anything can look good on paper......no need to keep score in the game...just play to one's heart content.
ding ding ding.
First line in the video, “school bus driver”
She had the nerve to blame the lender for buying more house than she could afford. Next she will blame the real estate agent. LOL
This is LUDACRIS. I make $110,000 and wouldn’t even think of even asking for a loan of $800,000. Because I CAN NOT AFFORD IT......
“More than likely, they rolled debt into the house”
Perhaps so. I never understand people who do that. It’s seems stupid to me. Why would you roll an unsecured debt into your home, thereby making it secured debt?
Those are the kind of moves that can really lead to losing your home. Better to arrange a payoff plan with the credit card company.
True. This new school they are attending has a pretty standard lunch--meat/main item, fruit, veggies, and milk. Now the school they came from was a charter too--first year started though. For some reason a charter is not allowed to have a hot lunch program in the first year. I don't know why. They'll have one next year though. So at that school kids had to bring their own lunch. All the parents at this school had to send a lunch in, but I know darn well when the hot lunch program starts next year, half of those parents will be participating in the free/reduced program.
because the lenders could turn around and sell them bundled to fannie mae/freddie mac as fast as they could generate ratings from Moody's - fannie/freddie bought everything that came their way - there was no incentive not to generate as many loans as possible
