more as it becomes available...
According to Fox, with all the amendments this “compromise” is $850 billion.
May they rot in hell for putting this country in that kind of debt!
CORRECTION, this WAS a done deal, at least done enough for CNN to ru with it under a “Breaking News” headline banner and music.
I think a sudden explosion of vocal non-support is setting some senators on edge.
Funny that, eh?
Isn’t that Free Republic is FOR?
OF COURSE there are more republicans, THEY ARE THE OPPOSITION.
Now, if the opposition gets a temporary majority of opinions to the established administration, it is something that requires the Fairness Doctrine???
Sophism Sucks.
What exactly is the rush? Why can’t the taxpayers look at the proposal for a week and then have the vote. There must be some truly awful pork in it if they want a quick vote.
one would think that ME would be more conservative,
I hope every conservative gets the hell out of New England, it is lost.
All conservatives get to the swing states of VA,CO,FL,NC AZ.NM
Notice I stated conservatives not republicans as there is far too many homo loving, abortion backing rino’s up there
Funny that, eh? Isnt that Free Republic is FOR?
Amidst the anger, this is kinda fun, isn't it?
There is a stalling tactic we can play, which we did during the immigration debate. We can demand, as per our right, to have the entire bill read into the record.
But just as during the immigration debate, there is no finished bill to read at all. They are noodling with the basic parameters of this right now; they are not actually writing legislation yet.
So forcing them to read the bill demands they execute an impossibility. It should be good for a one-day stall. And get us through the weekend. - Ace. http://ace.mu.nu/
Our brave and yet somehow cowardly moderates want more cover, because neither supporter wants the notoriety of being the sixtieth vote.
Reid suggested to reporters that he had two GOP backers for the bill but needed at least one more because neither wants to be the crucial 60th vote if all 58 members of the Democratic caucus support Obama.
Phone Numbers: Here, again.
Snowe and Collins need calls. Michelle Malkin calls Specter the ringleader — not sure if he’s gettable. Maybe just call him an asshole.
And don’t forget the moderate senators — Nelson of Nebraska, Nelson of Florida, Webb of Virginia, Tester of Montana, Bayh of Indiana, Landrieu of Louisiana, even Dianne Feinstein.
Most of these guys are running in red or purple states. Statewide; not in gerrymandered safe districts. Let them know what you think.
FL,VA,NC,CO,NM,AZ welcomes all conservatives to hell with the liberal north east minus NH which still can be saved

Time to start a Rebel Republican movement. These RepublicRats are getting old. I was so glad to see Gordon Smith get sent packing and so will these. Why vote for a RepublicRat when you can vote for the real thing.
Pray for America, Our Troops and obama’s Guidance
Doesn’t surprise me! What shocked me was Voinivich!
I’m in FLA and I heard on the radio today that idiot martinez was telling everyone there was only a ‘slight’ uptick in calls. then the news confronted him that his VM was FULL and they had to recant and say that they are being inundated!! LOL
What a fat toad loser of a senator.
This wasnt a compromise it was a stick up.
OBAMA DEMANDS ACTION: COULD NOT BE MORE SERIOUS...
Bemoans: Everyone’s an economist...
“What exactly is the rush?” - Reporter ‘Cameron’ said -It may sound crass but: They don’t want to hace to spend the weekend in Washington.
I really think that’s what they all say when they want to buck the party and the people. They know as long as no one can prove it, they can lie and pretend that there’s no groundswell of opposition to their treachery. I never believe any of them. They’re going to do the same thing when amnesty comes up again.
“This wasnt a compromise it was a stick up.”
