Just heard on FoxNews that Obama is planning on asking the Joint Chiefs to cut the defense budget 10%.
Hasn’t he assigned “America is a mean country in 2008” Michelle to be some kind of liason with military families. What hypocrits these lefty military hating frauds are.
Oh good Lord. I haven’t heard that, but she is one of the last people I’d want on my doorstep.
It’s not a government cut it’s redistributing the funds to porky troughs other than defense. Lets see now ACORN, labor organizations, and assorted pork programs will get it.

If he gets laid-off, which I really wouldn't wish on anyone, the irony will almost be to great to resist an "I told you so".

I am not implying anything. I am saying that all aspects of our government, including our military have not been good stewards of our money, and if we are going to chastise the other side for their spending, then we better be the ones leading by example.
Maybe the Joint Chiefs should announce a major overhaul of wasteful spending, as an alternative to the budget cut. And make a concerted effort to do so. There is nothing stopping them from doing that.
And no they don’t think about it because they are so patterned to be ENTITLED to the funds. Yes our military as a whole at the admin level feels entitled. While our military and schools and safety are entitled to tax funds, they are not entitled to an unlimited or unrestricted amount.
While I am a conservative I am not a party hack, and want to reform our side of the aisle as much as the other.

Why have the duplication of services?
Because it is not. The military is supposed to defend us against all enemies foreign and domestic. The new force is to stay within our boundaries only.
For those of you in the military or who were in the military, you know how it is. Not only would our military not want to take up arms against the rest of us, but they would most likely consider it an illegal order. One that they would not follow.
The new security force Obama is proposing will be trained and mandated to do just the opposite.
The Grassroots under the guidance of our State Chair is going to have to be boots on the ground to clean up what ACORN has done to our voting. These are the ones that were duplicates. What about the ones that slipped through?
This has been building for sometime but the RNC, the WH, NRCC, and NRSC let it slide on through and didn’t raise the red flag.
Yes...this makes a lot of sense, cut jobs where we actually make things, and instead pass that $900B pork-laden, welfare increasing "stimulus" bill instead. Lack of pocket change we can believe in...
