This is a memo from Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Democratic members sent after the stimulus vote yesterday. Pelosi is apparently panicked at Republicans success in uniting against her hyperpartisan actions in shutting them out of the formulation of the stimulus bill and in peeling nearly a dozen Dems off to vote in opposition.
Here is the full text of the memo leaked to HUMAN EVENTS this morning.

Re: The Republican Problem
Date: January 29, 2009
The House Republican Leadership put its Members in another politically untenable position yesterday: trying to reclaim the mantle of lower taxes and small government -- at the exact time when economists of every ideological stripe agree that government investments are the only way to get our economy moving again and make us competitive for the long term.
So yesterday, while we are facing the greatest economic crisis in decades, Republican House Members ended up voting unanimously against:

Yeah, it reads too much like a press release / propaganda flyer to be a “leaked” memo.
They ARE in panic mode, though, because they don’t have ANY cover on their socialist spending bill.
WHEN it fails to achieve what they claim they want it to,
they will OWN the failure.
I’m seeing a pattern here:
The Irish Problem,
The Jewish Problem,
The Negro Problem,
(and so on, through out time...)
and now The Republican Problem!
LOL, they sure have a way with words.
The writer is a little confused when he claims economists of every stripe support this. Not true. Some do support big govt pork but responsible economists would point out that there is no stimulus in this package. Those ecenomists support real stimulus in the form of taxcuts for business and individuals but they get no mention in the press.
“Keynesian economics is the right move”
Couldn’t be more wrong.
“I am serious she is on something..”
Botox.
A hidden story here is that this vote was 14 votes away from failing. That’s almost as many Dems that voted against it. Amazing!
A complete and utter LIE:
Economists slam Barack Obama's stimulus package
The line from Barack Obama and Joe Biden is that all economists agree with a stimulus package to expand government spending. So they won't have been happy to see a full page advertisement in (January 28's) New York Times disagreeing, signed by around 200 academic economists, including three Nobel prize-winners.(T)he economists who signed the advert, funded by the Cato Institute in Washington DC, say that: "we the undersigned do not believe that more government spending is a way to improve economic performance. More government spending by Hoover and Roosevelt did not pull the United States economy out of the Great Depression in the 1930s. More government spending did not solve Japan's "lost decade" in the 1990s."
I actually considered sending money to Cindy Sheehan when she was running against her.
I wish someone would accidentally overdose her on botox so she can’t talk anymore.
Someone needs to inform Pelosi that she and her Rat allies have been in charge of both branches of Congress since 2006. No way they can blame the economic freefall and out of control spending of the last to years on Republicans. The media cannot keep this a secret forever either.
If they had the power,
there is no doubt in my mind that they would implement
“the final solution” for “the Republican problem”.
When other countries cut their taxes to stimulate their economies, we’re going to be late to the table.
Does this mean no more invites to post-partisan cocktail parties?
There is not an honest fiber in their crazy tortured minds. IF spending is the answer by their very words we should all be rolling in dough.
perhaps she meant
“ecommunists”
Agreed. Pelosi is too stupid to string two coherent thoughts together.
Now, if only the Senate Republicans had brass ones like the House Republicans. Me thinks they fell off a long time ago.
The Democrats want universal approval for their dubious policies. Why should Republicans provide them with cover? If Pelosi thinks her Democrat pork bill is such a great idea, why does she care what Republicans think?
