Democrats Launch Petition Against Rush Limbaugh Tuesday, January 27, 2009 By Melanie Hunter-Omar
(CNSNews.com) The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has launched an online petition for readers to express their outrage at conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh for saying last week that he wanted President Barack Obama to fail.
The petition includes a 19-second sound byte of Limbaugh, saying, If I wanted Obama to succeed, Id be happy the Republicans have laid down. I dont want this to work. So Im thinking of replying to this guy, say okay, Ill send you a response, but I dont need 400 words, I need four: I hope he fails.
Meanwhile, Obama advised Republicans last Friday to stop listening to Limbaugh if they wanted to get along with Democrats and the administration.
You cant just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done, Obama said to Republican leaders who met with the president to talk about the stimulus package.
The Republican National Committee did not return calls requesting comment.

His so-called Operation Chaos did nothing to help conservatives. If hes not part of the solution, hes part of the problem.
Oh Please....would it really have mattered whether it was Hillary or Obama?
Ask yourself this question, "if Rush Limbaugh had spent as much time trying to keep a real Republican conservative alive in the primaries as he did monkeying around with the 'Rat primaries, would it have helped our hurt the GOP?
Do some honest soul-searching.
I have. And when it came to this past electoral cycle, Rush voted "present".
BTW, RUSH ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, he does until the 'Rats reenact that 'Censorship Doctrine' (aka 'Fairness har-har Doctrine'). Then it's going to either be EIB in Space (as in satellite), or early retirement for Mr. Limbaugh.

His so-called Operation Chaos did nothing to help conservatives. If hes not part of the solution, hes part of the problem
Psst psst -- 2 things for ya:
1) There WERE no Conservatives in the realistic pool
See my prior post. If Rush had expended as much effort to promote and energize conservative GOP primary candidates as he did to influence the 'Rat primaries, we could have seen a more conservative GOP ticket instead of McRINO screwing the pooch last November.
and O.C. actually worked pretty well, just with unintended consequences;
iow, "the operation was a success, but the patient (as in the GOP and our Republic) died".
2) He is an entertainer and doesn't pretend to be anything else;
He is much more than an entertainer, he is Paul Harvey leaning right with 20+ million listeners each and every day and his conservative talking points are picked up by the loyalists, and are reverberated coast to coast, don't kid yourself.
3) He asks Conservatives to hew to Conservative principles. The fact they won't isn't on him.
Which ones do you contend have ignored Rush's message?

I agree. That was a great response by Rush to Rep. Phil Gingrey, R-Ga., The
Politico went on to write this.....
.... "
The back and forth comes as some on the right speak more openly about what they perceive as the lack of leadership in the Republican Party. Unapologetic conservatives, like Limbaugh would prefer to see elected Republicans confront the new president. But many GOP officials, daunted by the new presidents approval rating and what they believe is fatigue on the part of voters over partisan fighting, are loath to openly criticize Obama"......
Now is not the time for weakness. Obama is showing absolute weakness to terrorist sponsors across the world, while at the same time cracking the whip on forcing his liberal economic and social programs into American mainstream. We need to help our Republicans know they have little time to stand for the future of America. Now is the time.

He [Limbaugh] made it pretty clear he favored Thompson, although he never came outright and said it. Its hardly Rushs fault that McCain won, Rush trashed him almost as hard as he did the Huckster.
And in retrospect, is there anyone who would argue against the idea that Thompson's role was nothing but a stalking horse FOR McCain? All the potential money that might have gone to true conservative candidates (we're talkin about Tancredo, Hunter, Brownback) was held back in anticipation of what Thompson might or might not do. And when Thompson finally entered the race, it was a classic case of "too little too late" and his "good friend" John McCain was the one and only beneficiary.
Coincidence? Sure.

I took your lead and went to the DCCC site to SUPPORT El Rushbo, and then went over to the resistnet.com website and posted the story and encouraged readers to do the same.
We’ll just fill that petition site with notes such as “Rush—keep it coming!”

We are watching America go down the toilet!! Rush is the only leader of any worth that the conservative party has at this time (not demeaning Dr. Levin or Sean Hannity) and he is under attack...I’m praying for his physical safety, because these liberals are crazy and not above murdering him to shut him up!! :-O

It feels creepy for a President to be calling out an American private citizen. It feels creepy and beneath the office. It feels Chavezesque.

Have any of you gotten an auto call today requesting you to call your congressman to support Obamas stimulus plan? It went on to say press 1 on your phone and you will be directed to your congressman. My wife took the call when I was out and told me she hung up when they told her to press 1. This REALLY happened. Im a registered Republican. Seems like they are doing this shotgun style. Is this legal? Any others getting these auto phone calls?
Would you mind saying who your representative is...or what state? This is mind-boggling to me. Do you know what the organization was that made the auto call? I would like to know if this is happening in more than one district/state. Scary.

Melanie Hunter-Omar?
They used to dream of flying our planes. Now they dream of owning our free press. I truly believe that’s part of the plan, to strive to become a part of the western media. I’m sure they are privately writing treatises on the proper exploitation/outright takeover of the media in a free country.
To: mkjessup
Might want to loosen the Tinfoil a little, it is cutting off the circulation to the head. Hunter and Tancredo, though vastly superior to McCain were going exactly nowhere whether or not Thompson ever got in. You're deluding yourself if you think otherwise. Brownback’s position on the war was the same as Joe Biden’s (Wanted to carve up Iraq and opposed the surge) Brownback never polled out of the low single digits. The problem wasn't when Thompson got in, the problem is we let the media select a Dem Lite for our candidate and we got predictably spanked.

Dangerous leftists (read Rahn Emmanuel) in this country will not rest until Delay, Rove and Limbaugh are ruined. Finger over on Delay. That leaves two.
To: Sub-Driver
Limbaugh like all real conservatives want Obama economic socialist agenda to fail, we want Obama liberal policies to fail, and we want his foreign policy of appeasement and defeatism to fail.
Unlike the left wing lunatics who have lived to hate President Bush for eight years and wished him all type of personal ill we are not going to hate Obama and we will never wish him any ill. However we are going to fight hard to defeat his socialist, defeatist, and liberal agenda.

You say tomato, I say ta-mah-toe.
The fact is, there was a deliberate media bias *against* candidates like Brownback, Hunter, Tancredo, etc., and the media buzz over Thompson worked to keep those conservatives out of the spotlight, and Thompson in it.
Not only did the media choose the GOP candidate, the GOP nudged and winked at the media all the way, by allowing Democrats to cross over in Republican primaries which certainly worked to the disadvantage of ANY conservative candidate, and to the advantage of the pathetic sell-out RINOs, specifically the one who gave it up for 0bama last November 4th.
Primary politics are like NFL football, on any given Sunday, any team can beat any other team, given all the variables and possibilities.
I maintain that it could have turned out much differently.

Barry Soetoro is the biggest mistake that ever happened to this nation. The entire democrat party is.
I predict that Soetoro will issue a series of apologies to our enemies and to terrorists on behalf of the United States. Today’s speech on Arab television was just the first.

Which ones do you contend have ignored Rush's message? Every single elected GOP US Senator and Governor (except Palin).
McCain is a democrat who just isn't as radical as the rest of that party.
