Geithner Confirmed with some Repub Support
Fox News Live | 1/26/09 | vanity

Geithner vote of 60-34 (near strict party line), Gibbs' Press Beatings, Pelosi's $300M for abortion, Obama's "I won so shut up" -- The speed with which the Obama Administration is going down is breathtaking -- and wonderful!

I think Specter is principled, too. I don’t agree with a lot of his principles, but he comes through on the party-line stuff.

Thank you Mike Crapo you piece of trash RINO for voting to confirm a tax cheat.

Thought I could count on my Senator from Idaho. Guess not. Probably traded his Owyhee Wilderness Bill being tucked into the Omnibus package for his vote, or got paid off in some other way.

Like hell is he getting my vote ever again. I’ll vote “I” or third party next time even if that means putting another D from Idaho up there, because the R’s ain’t doin it.

How each senator voted is here:

http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=111&session=1&vote=00015

I count three Dems voting Nay: Byrd (D-WV), Feingold (D-WI), and Harkin (D-IA).

A TAX CHEAT!?!?

Hey! Bambi and his supporters promised us change. Certainly, a tax cheat as Treasury Secretary delivers on that promise, does it not?

The question is, does Mr. Secretary Geithner support extending the IMF's payroll policy to all employers in the land? Now that would be real change! No more pesky withholding! Every American would get to write a check to the US Treasury every quarter! (Except for Masters of the Universe, like Mr. Geithner.) And I'm sure the VP would applaud the patriotic feelings he and his fellow citizens would feel as they sign their checks.

Graham, Voinovich,

The nancy boy fruitcake who's tight with La Raza and the wuss who literally cried on the Senate floor while pleading with other Senators to vote against John Bolton's nomination for UN ambassador. Two of among the biggest embarrassments in gov't. ...and there's lots of competition.

It has only been a week with our new President. This is just the beginning of what we will be facing in the next four years - and trust me - it ain’t gonna get better, folks.

I don’t know what these folks are thinking, but it sure kills us. I agree with your comments regarding Republicans, the presidency, and Conservatives. I think you’re right on the money.

Snowe is up for re-election in 2012 (she was elected in 1994 and re-elected in 2000 and 2006). But,yes, she should have a big target on her, especially since she voted for Geithner.

As for my two Senators (Cochran and Wicker), they did the right thing by voting against the tax cheat. Congratulations, guys.

Voinovich announced about a week ago that he was not running for reelection. That leaves him free to be a democrat.

Color me surprised at McLame. His friend Lindsay Graham voted Aye. Also Sue Collins broke with her sister Lympy Snowe and voted nay. Specter voting no doesn’t shock but he said he was leaning toward voting aye.

As to the rats who voted no I’m surprised that Tom Harkin was one. Feingold (moonbat but pro-good government) Byrd (has gone his own way on nominations in the past mr. “conscience of the senate” :p) and Sanders (who I’m sure wants to send tax cheats to the gulag) I can understand but Harkin?

\\\\”Mr. Geithner made serious errors of judgment in failing to pay his taxes, and he made serious errors in his job as chief regulator of the financial institutions at the heart of the current financial crisis,” Harkin said in a statement released after the vote.//////

Corker? I hardly know her.

Cornyn? Insoluble fiber

Crapo? Crap

Ensign? Seaman

Graham? Cracker

Gregg? Craig

Hatch? Laid an egg

Shelby? Uh...Smellby

Snowe? Job

Voinovich? RINO Kitsch

Good picture.

There should not have been anybody voting for this tax cheat.

I suggest writing on any currency that gets his signature with the words “tax cheat” and/or “unpatriotic”.

Corker is another McCain. He was part of the original 10 for the horrific energy bill.

I fully intended to vote against his sorry RINO butt this last election, but with Obama running and looking as if he was going to win it, I didn’t dare vote against a Republican Senator trying to save the filibuster. It appears I made a mistake that cannot be remedied for 6 years.
