Irritated Obama 'Stares Down' Reporter During Press Corps Visit (Thin Skin Alert!)

WASHINGTON -- President Obama paid a surprise visit to members of the White House press corps Thursday evening when he walked through their working area of the West Wing, but he quickly became agitated when he was confronted with a question by one of the journalists.

According to reports, when the Politico's Jonathan Martin asked the president about his nominee for deputy secretary of defense, William Lynn, Obama refused to answer, saying he was not there to take questions.

"I came down here to visit. I didn't come down here -- this is what happens. I can't end up visiting you guys and shaking hands if I am going to grilled every time I come down here," the president said.

Pressed further by the Politico reporter about his Pentagon nominee, Obama turned more serious, putting his hand on the reporter's shoulder and staring him in the eye.

"All right, come on" he said, with obvious irritation in his voice. "We will be having a press conference, at which time you can feel free to [ask] questions. Right now, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to you guys -- that's all I was trying to do," Politico.com reported.

I’ve seen that look. It’s the look of a confident thug who is content that he has many at his back. He’s telling the reporter “Don’t f@ck with me, whitey”.

Crash and burn?

I can see it in Michelle’s face. She bit off more than she can chew and they know they can’t do the job.

I hope Obama realizes that the White House is an office complex -- his home is on the top floor.

If he strolls into the press workspace, he should expect the press to work. If he wants to pal around with them, then he should invite them upstairs.

The press/media will see what we have observed since his "Can't I eat my waffles?" day. And the other threats he made to media. Obviously, Obama cannot walk and chew gum at the same time. In other words, without pre-scripted, or pre-discussed answers for questions, Obama can't answer intelligently. It must still be above his pay-grade to do so. When you walk into a room of journalists, whose job it is to ask questions, you should expect questions. If he wanted to have a "visit" he should have invited them to tea! LOL what an irritable and arrogant son-of-a-gun, he is.

The "transparency" the media will see, promised by him of his administration is the unvieling of the empty suited, ill-mannered, no-class, narcissistic, and pathetic person chosen for POTUS BY THEM!

No, we don’t. I’m just telling you about that same look that I’ve seen, mostly reserved for interracial encounters. You can hide from it but that factor is always there (e.g., Tom Brokaw’s “I want to take the Obama win and show it to Red Necks and say ‘take this!”......it’s always there. Don’t kid yourself or chide legitimate recognition of such.

“...do we really need to inject race here?”

You bet. Virtually every other utterance of this Socialist POTUS smacks of racism.

And, it is pervasive in the context of Bambi's ONLY work experience — rabble rousing the inner-city core through
“Community Organizing”.

Any other questions ?

We will be having a press conference, at which time you can feel free to [ask] questions

...at which time Helen Thomas will get the first question, which will amount to an extended ass-kissing session and anti-Bush diatribe, and before you know it, the press conference will be over.

“......that’s all I was trying to do,” Politico.com reported.”

AND all Bush was trying to do was win a war against those that want to cut the heads off of our children.

The other side believes this presidency is about “payback”, ie, cold race war.

There’s no better way to get your clock cleaned than to not recognize when you’ve had war declared on you. 9/11 was an example.

>>I hope Obama realizes that the White House is an office complex -- his home is on the top floor.

Trying to grab Biden to express "anger" after his joke and now the press corps. It's amateur hour in the WH.

If I can play armchair psychologist for a bit, Obama's awkwardness in dealing with the interpersonal stuff comes from not having a Dad growing up. IOW, he is trying to posture and act like he thinks a real dominant/male/authority/leader type would and he is missing the mark. Bush can pull off manhandling Chilean guards whereas Obama just doesn't have the stuff or wisdom to know how.

not to mention the press are a bunch of prema-donnas (sp?), anyway. I see O denying casual access of the press soon and all pressers will be staged and controlled before he walks up to the podium. As a matter of fact, I foresee the press not being allowed on White house grounds until invited very soon. If some huge disaster (not economic or legislative - that’s a given) comes anytime the next 3 months (God forbid), The O will flake on us.
