Sadly, the 3rd Quad-Annual Quadrennial Free Republic Inaugural Ball in DC has been cancelled due to lack of interest. There will be no refunds (seeing as how no tickets were sold - and none offered).
However, now is the time to begin planning a conservative offensive movement.
How many of you would like to attend a two day conference symposium, er "FReepmeet" regarding taking back our country? It's been suggested that if we do this, it should be held in a central location or airline hub like Denver or Dallas so a maximum number of FReepers can attend.
If not us, who? If not now, when?

Actually, I would like to bend the ear of Rep Joe Barton about a thang or three. That is if he can tear himself away from legislating college football matters.
Perhaps the March for Justice threads should be revived. The only reason I found FR was because of the CSPAN coverage of Free Republic’s gathering of thousands back in 1998. Gathering of similar minds would let it be known, who’s a FReeper, and who is a poster, who’s committed, and who’s a keyboard warrior. Keyboard warriors are a dime a dozen, put your money where your mouth is. Don’t you forget, Acorn has meetings all over the place. Our problem is, we don’t live, breath and eat “Rules for Radicals”. It’s time we play by their playbook.
I imagine there would be plenty of drinking after said fun activity.
Though we’d probably have to rent a place to hold everybody. I don’t think a hotel’s bar would be large enough.
lol...I wouldn’t mind bending Kay Granger and Kay Bailey Hutchinson ear...just not sure I want either one of them there.
I think it just needs to be us grass-roots folks the more I think about it. We can let them know of our goals after our meeting is done. After all...they work for us the last time I checked.
Perhaps with some connections, Michael Steele could be invited......

I would LOVE Memphis...but would try to make anything work. I am seriously fearing for the future of our great nation....and am thankful we have patriots like you who have the organizational skills and the gumption to inspire the rest of us to do something.
Salt Lake, site of the Olympics, might be plenty of lodging there...

Wonderful news! I hope you’ll be very happy for the rest of the century.
Der Prinz and I will celebrate twenty years in about three weeks. We were going to go somewhere for a weekend, but that plan has been Overtaken By Events ;-). Instead, he’s going to run a marathon with our 14-year-old son, and I’ll take our oldest daughter to visit my parents another weekend.
