Supreme Court to Uphold or Ignore the Constitution?
Capitol Hill ^ | Dec. 7, 2008 | JB Williams

Posted on 12/07/2008 11:14:58 AM PST by PlainOleAmerican

As of this writing, December 6th, the Supreme Court has not yet announced whether or not it will take up the Donofrio case, or any other case concerning Obama’s constitutional eligibility for the office of President.

Yet there is no more important issue before the court today and the clock is ticking.

(snip)

The Supreme Court of the United States of America has but one primary obligation to the American people, and that obligation is to use the power afforded it under Article III—Section I of the Constitution, to uphold, protect and preserve the U.S. Constitution, the Charters of Freedom, and provide equal justice for all, without regard to personal political leanings or ambitions…

I wish I knew. Bush the other day said we are now officially in a recession too, albeit a redefined definition.

As you said in another post, something really stinks. Can't prove it, but none the less it stinks....

It all semms so conspiratorial, especially when you think of some the people in power who would have to be participating, let alone the numbers of people, well it seems far fetched, yet the writing is on the wall in plain view. It's enough to drive you crazy.

I would love to be wrong but I fear we are not.

All kind of riots are going to happen and they’ll need the national guard in place to stop them from burning Chicago, Los Angeles..etc

It's either THAT or they'll eventually have to deal with US. The truth is, Obama can admit that he lied about his citizenship because he wanted to be President so much he hoped that part of the Constitution (which troubled him) would not matter. But it does. So he can tell his supporters not to act out, but to accept the rule of law.

We have NO proof of anything about Obama's education once he went to College. We don't know his class standing. We don't know if he got college money as a citizen of Indonesia or Britain or Kenya. All we know is what he wrote in his books. And much of what he claimed happened a certain way did not, which has been verified. So we know he's a liar, a fabricator of truth. He is supposed to be familiar with the Constitution and supposedly lectured on it . . . which means he HAD TO KNOW that he wasn't eligible to be POTUS.

WHERE are his classmates from college? WHERE are the students he lectured? WHERE is his identity? He's the man who doesn't exist. (Even Jesus Christ's Birth is recorded and verified by Shepherds.) Obama joked that he wasn't born in a stable . . . well, if he HAD been, at least there would be witnesses!

Veritas vos Liberabit!

I’ve actually stopped listening to talk radio over this issue. When they ignore the most important thing going on right now, they make themselves irrelevant.

I feel the same way.

I've always considered the big talkers to be among the vanguard of patriots, but the fact that they won't even discuss this issue from the perspective of curiosity, or even newsworthiness, paints them as cowards, in my mind.

I guarantee you that their Arbitron ratings are starting to dip because of their failure to address this issue.

Even if they snap out of whatever they're in, and get on board with this, I'll never look at them in the same regard as I once did.

It may not be due tomorrow it could happen anytime next week.

According to the Washington Times:

“A spokesman for the court said the decision on whether to hear the suit brought by retired New Jersey lawyer Leo Donofrio is likely to be announced next week.”

The Supreme Court could be pondering this some more and are giving it time. It’s possible they could stay the electoral vote on the 15th.

Sorry bronx....

What you are saying is, even UNCONSTITUTIONAL candidates and election results are “valid,” and therefore, a moot argument that makes us “look like moonbats” for not going silently along with an unconstitutional election that may seat an anti-American president?

BRONXBOY

May I suggest you spend some time at www.jeffhead.com and www.theobamafile.com and then get back to us? It should take you a few days to read them and check the links.

And please create your “about” page here at FR.

Thanks a lot.

Where is conservative talk radio on the most important issue to be before the court in the history of the republic? Shame on them! I decided after listening to to rush for 18 years that his silence on this issue has made me decide to turn off my radio too.

I disagree. I think it's very simple why talk show radio has not been talking about it, and I think it is actually playing into our favor.

If Rush, Sean, et al, had started talking about this several weeks ago, MSM would be in full attack mode and they probably would win the public opinion war. As it is, they kept quiet, and now MSM (unwillingly) has to break the story. Meanwhile, us underground FReepers have gone about building a case that looks pretty solid. So now when MSM starts launching attacks as they have with some of the articles we have seen in the past few days, there are thousands of people armed with rebuttals.

I have been on a lot of blogs with various newspapers (Chicago Tribune, Orlando Sentinel, etc.) and it is very obvious that there are many people armed with the facts to fight back every conspiracy theory. So I actually believe that talk show radio has done the right thing by not making an issue. When this story breaks big like it's going to eventually, we will see them jump in to back us up. But they couldn't risk making this seem like an illusion dreamed up by the "radical" conservative talk show radio hosts. They should be applauded for how they have made MSM break this story.

1. Nobody has posted any proof that Obama was an Indonesian citizen, only suppositions.
2. Whether Indonesia allows dual citizenship is irrelevant to whether the US does. Indonesia can have whatever policies it chooses. It does not affect our policies.
3. He lived in Indonesia only from the age of 6 to 10. It is just not possible for a minor or his parents to renounce American citizenship for a child.
4. If he indeed had an Indonesian passport, perhaps because he wanted to travel to a country where his American passport would be an issue, that would be odd but again not disqualifying him as an American citizen. One Freeper posted that he has passports for five countries. He’s still an American citizen.

And that's why there are so many lawsuits. We as a Nation deserve to know who it who got elected to POTUS, who IS this person who uses the name Barack Hussein Obama II (or Jr)?

Would prefer to have these cases tried by the SCOTUS not the MSM or talk radio....They are much too important. Glad they have all chosen to keep quiet....and not add fuel to the upcoming fire.

Then, understanding the immensity of this issue, and knowing their audience to be loyal American patriots, the least they could do, is to make a reserved statement about it to their audience to let them all know that it would perhaps be better if they stayed out of the fray and let the SC do its Constitutional duty.

To be mute on the subject invites speculation on the part of the listening (and reading) audience, as to why they won't discuss this. None of the speculation is good, either.

To be fair, Hannity did mention the issue last week, saying that he's being bombarded with email about it. He voiced the opinion that the issue is a non-starter, or words to that effect, as I recall. That was it for me. He's off my radio.

Mark Davis of WBAP in Dallas also expressed the same opinion last week when he filled in for Rush. He's banned from my radio now, too.

I won’t address the points in your post, but I will go on record as saying that in my estimation, every single one of them is dead wrong.

Everything you’ve stated has been theorized on these threads, and has been summarily overturned with excellent logic and reasoning, supported by historical fact, case law, and constitutional precedent.

If Donofrio’s case does not pass muster for the 9, another one will. The issue is clearly within the scope and mandate of the SC, and is of real substance. It either will be addressed by them, or the republic will unravel.

When life gives you potatos...

Maybe it’s time to make potato salad...

“So they cannot enforce the requirements of the Constitution because it would require a complete overhaul of the election system making it too honest and fair, it would backtrack to too many offices and lawsuits about eligibility factors.”

The that makes their position extremely tentative...If they cannot or will not discharge the duties of their office, they themselves become null and void...

And if that starts a ripple effect of elected officials from the top down becoming less and less effective in their duties...I’m ok with that being all the excuse we need to send the entire lot packing...

We get a chance to do this every two years...

If your devils advocate position advocates supporting letting things go...Then you become part of the problem...

You have joined forces with the intellectually lazy, and those politicos who have managed to weasel their way into this position...

Now...Forgive me if I am too harsh, or maybe I am wrong about you, but I am just shooting from the hip based upon what you just said here...Nothing personal, and if I am wrong, I stand to be corrected...

I would like to think that the Supreme Court would put this issue to bed once and for all, but at least give us closure, and a clear one at that...

If we obsess too long on his birthright, and it turns out to be a non-issue, then we would have been wasting our time...When we could be battling the upcoming wave of infringements and other losses of freedom that are for sure to come...We’ve seen them...And we had better be sharp and be ready to fight them even before they come to the table...

I for one would actually love to see this be proven to be true that he is a foriegn born citizen and is unable to become President of these United States...

This may actually be the battle they want us to fight, instead of preparing for the other stuff coming up...

Be careful what you wish for is what I would say to some...

Just my opinion...

Gee, Berg has affidavits from his grandmother, step siblings, and the DR that delivered him....All say he was born in Coast Provincial General Hospital, Mombasa, Kenya. What benefit would they have in lying about his birth place? OTOH what benefit would BO have in lying about his birth place?

EXACTLY.

Just as I was one of the first to respond that Lolo Soetoro had no reason to lie when he signed Barry Soetoro's name, citizenship status, and religion on the two school applications in Jakarta, Indonesia.

What passport or paperwork did Stanley Ann Dunham Soetoro use when she brought her children back to Hawai'i to visit her parents and when she left Barry with her parents when he was ten?

What paperwork did Barry use to get into Occidental College? What paperwork did Barry use when he obtained the passport at age 19/20 in order to visit his mother in Indonesia and spend THREE WEEKS with persons unknown in Pakistan?

Too many unknows about this person who says his name is Barack Hussein Obama II (or Jr.)

Sherman, you are making it up as you go, without any regard for the facts readily available.

1. His Indonesian school records list him as Barry Soetoro, the adopted son of Indonesia stepfather Lolo Soretoro. It's everywhere, look it up.

2. America does not allow dual citizenship for the office of president either, for obvious reasons of dual loyalties. Do some homework and use your head.

3. He returned to be raised by his grandparents in Hawaii as a citizen of Indonesia, with an Indonesian passport, issued under the name Barry Soetoro. He held and traveled to Pakistan under that passport as late as age 21, while a "foreign" student at Occidental.

4. His posted BC has been reasonable challenged as fraudulent. The burden on proof is upon Obama to prove his legal citizenship, as has been posted on this thread many times already.

Why are you supporting an unconstitutional president-elect and working to silence truth? His Occidental, Columbia and Harvard records, like his so-called birth certificate, remain under lock and key as of this moment. Any guesses why? Call him what you want, but he walks, talks and acts like a duck. In my mind, he's a duck until he proves otherwise.

Bingo!!!

It does make you wonder why it has not dispelled this issue...

But like I said to the other gentleman here...This may actually be the fight they want us to battle right now...

The stuff they have in store for us scares me more then this, but I sure would like to see something that does prove his ineligibility to accept and to serve in that office...

That would prove our system works, and that when you try to do an end around and get caught...hehehe, that makes the next Obama wannabe a little more tentative in pushing back that envelope, wouldn’t you say???
