Its Peter Schiff, Cassandra of the collapse, sounding off on Bloomberg TV over the weekend. He also predicts a bear market for another five to 10 years, with lows for the Dow somewhere between 4,000 and 6,000 but actually much worse in real dollars as the U.S. is crushed by hyperinflation. The only solution? Bring on the apocalypse and lets muddle through.
If anyone needs me, Ill be out back killing myself.

is it nice out back?
I’ll listen to the gold bugs now.
Guy who predicted the financial meltdown: Obamas only making it worse
“If anyone needs me, Ill be out back killing myself.”
Jeez. Aw come on. I have room at The Swamp. Lots of booze. Just bring the soda water. And the Deep Woods Off.
I’m gonna become a hedge fund manager. Me and the other guys who live up behind the hedges have this fund and plan to “go long” on Gallo Vin Rose or Mad Dog 20/20 depending on the futures prices for each on any given day. My prospectus is all about “Hope and Change”, which is to say, “I hope you’ll spare some change”.
This guy makes a lot of sense—at least to me. He is saying much of what I have suspected for some time.
Now THAT’S FUNNY! Thanks for the Laugh.
I’ve scoffed at recession doom in the past. Not this time.
“Me and the other guys who live up behind the hedges have this fund and plan to go long on Gallo Vin Rose or Mad Dog 20/20 depending on the futures prices for each on any given day.”
Aw, a man of great prosperity! We can join our funds. My Swamp Fund has an inordinate amount of slithery creatures and many, many toadies so you can be assured our staff will mirror Wall Street’s.
I am more than happy to have been of service there in giving you a laugh. We will all need as many of those as we can find in the days to come. Blessings to you.
The northern states, run by liberals, will quickly go down first, and these states will try to rob successful southern states, run by republicans, to keep afloat.
Got swamps and Carolina bays, including Snow Island (Francis Marion’s hangout), nearby and a good compass to backup the GPS. May have to stash previsions in a couple of secure/covered pits, just in case (maybe even a still like my grand pappy). I’ve said from the very beginning that the response to this financial crisis is like trying to put out a fire with a leaf blower, they are very, very, stupid or trying to intentionally cause a depression.
Any one notice the length of the video is 9:11
Ah, a corporate merger! I had been hoping for a “corporate merger” with a 22 year-old blond, but I suppose if it involves this level of serious business, it would be best to involve toads and snakes.
I like living here. It scares the heck out of my friends who refuse to visit until we get a good hard frost.
“...they are very, very, stupid or trying to intentionally cause a depression.”
It’s political. The election for sure and the machinations to make President Bush looks as bad as possible leaving office. I believe though they lost control of the process.
A case of too clever by half. The sheeple are going to blame Bush long after he leaves when the reality is the democrats and Rubin created this mess. It has a long etiology. ~And I do mean etiology as in disease.
People were talking about housing triggering a “collapse” years ago. Why is everyone in the MSM acting so surprised that this is happening?
“If anyone needs me, Ill be out back killing myself.”
I’m curious. How did that work out for you?
You got the blonde, but you need to add 47 years to that number, “22.”
With all the money we create in our merger bundling the tranches into CDO’s and other arcana multiplying our shared resources to infinity, we can afford a few.
Then declare bankruptcy, call ourselves a bank, and get TARP money.
I love America!
Thanks for the best post since the election
