Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- The Pepperdine law professor who calls himself a pro-life Catholic but was one of the leading apologists for perhaps the most pro-abortion presidential candidate in history is at it again. Douglas Kmiec is now saying Barack Obama is more Catholic than previous presidents who were pro-life.
Kmiec's comments come in response to some from Cardinal J. Francis Stafford, head of the Apostolic Penitentiary of the Holy See, who called Obama on the carpet on abortion in a speech at the Catholic University of America last Thursday.
In an address sponsored by the John Paul II Institute, Stafford called Obama's pro-abortion policies aggressive, disruptive and apocalyptic" and that the senator campaigned on an extremist anti-life platform.
CNN conducted a follow-up interview with Cardinal Stafford, who stood by his remarks.
Stafford told the cable news network that he couldn't understand how any Catholic could support Obama because of his radical views in favor of taxpayer-funded abortions, unlimited abortions throughout pregnancy and overturning all of the hundreds of abortion reduction laws in all 50 states.
As a result, Stafford says Obama "is hostile to the life of an unborn child.

Ah yes....
“Pacifism and Poverty Christianity” at its best.
Wright: "In the 21st century, white America got a wake-up call after 9/11/01. White America and the Western world came to realize that people of color had not gone away, faded into the woodwork or just 'disappeared' as the Great White West kept on its merry way of ignoring Black concerns."

Catholics for Marx
By Fr. Robert Sirico
FrontPageMagazine.com | Thursday, June 03, 2004
In the days when the Superpowers were locked in a Cold War, Latin America seethed with revolution, and millions lived behind an iron curtain, a group of theologians concocted a novel idea within the history of Christianity. They proposed to combine the teachings of Jesus with the teachings of Marx as a way of justifying violent revolution to overthrow the economics of capitalism.
The Gospels were re-rendered not as doctrine impacting on the human soul but rather as windows into the historical dialectic of class struggle. These "liberation theologians" saw every biblical criticism of the rich as a mandate to expropriate the expropriating owners of capital, and every expression of compassion for the poor as a call for an uprising by the proletarian class of peasants and workers.

Reverend Wright at the National Press Club
"In the late 1960s, when Dr. James Cone's powerful books burst onto the scene, the term 'black liberation theology' began to be used. I do not in any way disagree with Dr. Cone, nor do I in any way diminish the inimitable and incomparable contributions that he has made and that he continues to make to the field of theology. Jim, incidentally, is a personal friend of mine."

From Jeff Head's website...
One notable quote from [James] Cone describing his Black Liberation Theology is as follows:
"Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community ... Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love." - "Divine Racism: The Unacknowledged Threshold Issue for Black Theology", in African-American Religious Thought: An Anthology, by William R Jones, ed Cornel West and Eddie Glaube (Westminster John Knox Press).

HANNITY: But Reverend Jeremiah Wright is not backing down and has not for years and in his strong stance on the teaching of black liberation theology is nothing new. He had the same things to say last spring when he appeared on "Hannity & Colmes:"
WRIGHT: If you're not going to talk about theology in context, if you're not going to talk about liberation theology that came out of the '60s, systematized black liberation theology that started with Jim Cone in 1968 and the writings of Cone and the writings of Dwight Hopkins and the writings of womynist theologians and Asian theologians and Hispanic theologians, then you can't talk about the black value system.
HANNITY: But I'm a reverend
WRIGHT: Do you know liberation theology, sir?

"they [the Weather Underground] employed revolutionary jargon, advocated armed struggle and black liberation and began bombing buildings, taking responsibility for at least 20 attacks. Estimates of their number ranged at times from several dozen to several hundred."

Who is this man’s bishop? Excommunicate Douglas Kmiec now.
Barack Obama knows NOTHING about the workings of the Catholic Church, his schooling in Indonesia and his acquaintance with Father Michael Pfleger notwithstanding.
Father Pfleger should have been defrocked long ago, except for the moral cowardice of the Archbishop of the Chicago Diocese, regardless of the “good works” Fr. Pfleger supposedly was responsible for in his parish. He is an evil man, consumed too much by the worldly passions, and intemperate of word and action.
Hasn’t the Pope condemned ‘Liberation Theology’?
Kmeic does an enormous amount of damage. Essentially, the bishops have handed over their teaching authority to a bunch of half-baked leftist lay theologians and politicians who think they are theologians. The longer the bishops remain silent and refuse to discipline these people, the more authority they lose.
Catholics are confused, and that was very well revealed by the voting patterns during the election.
JPII condemned ‘Liberation Theology”, as did a certain Josef Cardinal Ratzinger (who has since been promoted).
ROTFLOL
Doug Kmiec—the Kathleen Parker of abortion. The official “favorite ‘conservative’ to quote” to defend Obama.
"Please give me a federal judgeship! Please give me a federal judgeship! Please give me a federal judgeship! Please!!!"
There is no more craven individual on earth than Kmiec.
Maybe he has a brain tumor. Bless his heart.
Oh, Kathleen’s all about abortion, too (as well as certain other women’s being younger, prettier, more successful, and having a cute husband).
Cloning will be the next step for the Obama admin. Cloning can only be done with embryonic stem cells. Kimiec is s sucker.
And he’s more godly than God himself! * groans *
Not only would MLK Jr. slap Obama for being a fake Christian, but I have a feeling Jesus might giggle at that, then of course forgive him.
Selling his soul for ink.
I guess 30 silver pieces weren’t enough.
