During my 70th birthday celebration this past weekend, one of the guests, a true independent commented that many of the Obama signs where he lived were no longer up.
His wife agreed and said that in the cutesy area where she worked, many of the Obama signs were gone.
We commented that only one rabid liberal family in our cul de sac put up an Obama sign, and that sign came down the weekend before the election and so did the car stickers.
Since then, my wife and I have observed most of the Obama signs on the roads we drive are gone.
The damn Kerry and Gore signs stayed up until they rotted.
Is anyone else seeing this possible Buyers Remorse or whatever re the removal of Obama signs?
It was a two weeks ago Friday. We voted absentee ballot and turned them in.
I was steelhead fishing on the Trinity River on election day.
Karl Rove must be behind it!
We never saw any here. Saw many Kerry signs in ‘04 though.
Yes, here in Alaska some people have gathered them up and have signs saying:
“FREE FIREWOOD”
Thank you. It is great to be on this side of the grass and flowers celebrating birthdays.
I am meeting some real internal resistance to being affable to people with 0bama stickers.
Supporting 0bama “constitutes material cooperation with intrinsic evil”.
No.......
After seeing all the seemingly great anecdotal evidence on FR prior to the election, and then seeing how the actual election results turned out, I don’t place any stock in anecdotal evidence anymore.
Somebody in our neighborhood had a BUSH/QUAYLE 92 campaign sign in their yard!
Interesting.
I just checked with our youngest son and he rode his bike about 30 miles upvalley to work yesterday. He said 2 Obama signs out of the many were still left and there were 3 McCain Palin signs still up.
The 5 block street he lives on had a lot of Obama signs, and they came down over this weekend.
There is still an obama sign up in my neighborhood.
Hmm. Makes me wonder if the Obamabots had marching orders from Zer0 to take them down after the election.
“Those signs will rise up out of a landfill!”
Shouldn’t we be calling the Democrats on the fact that their signes are not recyclable and biodegradable? Democratic politicians shouldn’t be able to rape the planet just to get elected. If they can’t use green, earth-friendly materials in their signs, then they shouldn’t produce any signs at all.
In other words, we should make them live up to their own standards. They want green, they have to get elected green.
They’re down, came down almost immediately. There was one still up down the street- apparently a divided household, they had both R & Dem signs up.
I noticed that even before the election there were not many messiah lawn signs and bumper stickers as compared to 4 years ago. I live in Liberal Massachusetts and found it odd. I’m not so sure these libs are as hyped as the MSM leads us to believe......
Most of the B [end] O [ver] signs and bumper stickers in our area are GONE. There are a few stickers still on cars here.
I was talking to one lady [I know she is a bleeding heart liberal] and she is already PO'ed at the way BO is changing his tune about the "changes" with all the inside the beltway libs on his cabinet.
The damn Kerry and Gore signs stayed up until they rotted.
There are MORE kerry / edwards bumper stickers on cars here than bend over stickers.
Depends what you mean. The signs are down, but there are laws that affect some of that, and most people do that for every election. The bumper stickers seem to be increasing. There is also an increase in Obama icons on personal web pages.
It’s almost like the reverse Bradley Effect.
Now back to the question at hand, almost all signs come down the day after the binge but just before the hangover starts to really set in. It seems to be a tradition here. There were not a lot of K’wanza signs in Eureka
A younger relative lives in an urban cul de sac that was basically for GW in 2004. All but one house had an Obama sign. The holdout was a service family, and they probably voted for Obama.
Due to white guilt/pro gay or whatever, he and his wife were the only McPaling supporters.
He attended my party and said every sign was down in days after the election.
Before the election, his wife did a couple of panorama shots with her professional digital camera to record the signs for future discussions.
