“The Fed is private, its not subject to govt rules.”
That may be but public companies are (or used to be) subject to disclosure of material events and a cash infusion or even a new major debt instrument needs to be disclosed.

The real question is why is this happening under the Bush administration?
The real real question is why aren't Republicans saying much about this? We can't exactly criticize Obama over this in the future if we don't criticize Bush over it now.

The Fed is a private corporation and not a public entity. Seems like people don’t understand what the difference between the Fed and the Treasury is.

The Federal Reserve banks and local banks have been given a special privilege to create and control money by our Congress.

Hypocrisy is a beautiful thing, isn't it? If this was under Bill Clinton or Obama, this thread would have 500 posts.

“The Fed is a private corporation and not a public entity.”
That is not the only point - the companies that are getting the money are publicly traded and they have to disclose material events.

We fought a revolution for financial abuse against taxpayers, among other offenses.
Our currency is now debased, and we are facing inflation at best, hyperinflation at worse.
Time for some heads on pikes.

This is going to turn ugly if the Fed does not respond.

This is another way of saying that we are totally cooked. Let me tell you something strange that I encountered at my bank. When I desposited a check on Monday, they said I would not have access to the money until Thursday, because of the holiday.
I have never been told that it would take so long to "clear" a regular paycheck.
The teller suggested that I take some "cash back" under the circumstances.

There is a female financial commentator who comes on Coast to Coast, named Catherine Austin Fitts who worked in the elder Bush adminstration. She has stated repeatedly that there was approximately two trillion dollars missing from the NY Federal Reserve Bank going back a number of years, and has pushed for an audit.
Perhaps they are restoring this money under the cover of the bailout.

"I take active steps NOT to be a conspiracy buff, and to expose the fools that are."I've shared this before, but it seems appropriate now.
A friend of mine who used to be US Undersecretary of Commerce once said to me that the one thing you can always tell about people who say that they "don't believe in conspiracy theories" is that they have never worked for government!
