The Fed is a private corporation and not a public entity. Seems like people don’t understand what the difference between the Fed and the Treasury is.

The Federal Reserve banks and local banks have been given a special privilege to create and control money by our Congress.

That is not the only point - the companies that are getting the money are publicly traded and they have to disclose material events.
