Carl Cameron just said McCain campaign shocked to discover Sarah Palin did not realize Africa was a continent, believing instead that it was a country. She did not know the countries in NAFTA. She refused offered preparation for the Couric interview and threw temper tantrums over adverse press.
Wow. Dumping on Sarah in a big way. Shep asked how on Earth the McCain camp could have ended up picking such a dope (not exact words, but sense of what he said).
They did point out she seemed to help the polling numbers.
I knew this was going to be the template, but I was surprised at the level of nastiness on Fox News. Looks like elements of the McCain campaign is determined to make her the scapegoat for the loss. (Couldn't have been anything about the man at the top of the ticket.)

I thought he did a fair interview of her a few weeks ago, but he was likely trying to amass info for his upcoming trashing/gossiping sessions and passing them off as ‘we report, you decide.’

I find it interesting that some of you immediately accuse Romney. That really doesn’t make sense. Romney did a great deal of campaigning for McCain.

think is was a calculated decision by McCain. He knew he had nothing. He had no money and no one cared about his candidacy so he did the expedient thing which was use Palin to save his sorry campaign.
She did her job but she was too good and made him look like the “old man” that he really is. There is a lot of ego in McCain and he didn’t like it and neither did the RINOs that surrounded him.<<<

Exactly! That was one of Obama’s big plus’, fresh, hip, young blood seemingly not fully entrenched yet inside the beltway and least suspected of the cronyism that turns everybody off. And was able to attract new young voters.
The trade off of course was lack of experience, that’s why he’s having to surround himself with experienced people.
I have no doubt he’s a manchurian candidate with those advisors steering his way through every upcoming decision.
