John McCain's mother stopped by the Richmond Victory Center on Parham Rd. last night about 7:45. Background: Her appearance had not been announced in the newspaper, which had had a list of all election rallies in the coming days. It had not been announced on the McCain or Virginia McCain website. It had been briefly mentioned on an AM radio station, and the campaign workers knew about it.
By the time Mrs. McCain arrived, nearly 200 people had crammed into the office. They cheered very loudly for at least 2 minutes. I was standing 4 feet away from her and saw the pleased and surprised look on her face. She made a short, VERY encouraging speech and thanked everyone for being there. She said, "We're going to win. The tide is turning." I should also note that more than 1/3 of the people were under 25. Some were teen girls wearing Palin pink t-shirts. I saw people of all ethnic groups and minorities.
After the speech, Mrs. McCain was taken to another office for a photo-op with anyone who wished to do so. About 100 people stood in line to have their photo taken with her. As I left, I passed an African-American man with his young daughters in line.
People continued to discuss the election in the parking lot. These are people who have been blogging for months and are "coming out of the woodwork" to help in the final days. They are very concerned about the future of the country in Obama's hands, supported by the MSM, and a fully Democrat Congress.
Regardless of what the MSM and even Fox pundits opine, if these people are representative of the moderately conservative base, they are NOT worried about their wallets. They are worried about their COUNTRY.
As there are announcements that voters registering illegally are being arrested, there may be some hesitation by the part of some to vote illegally.
That said, we still have to deal with the corrupt officials who ‘count’ the votes. Usually adding thousands to the count even tho those votes weren’t cast.
Neither have his law review “buddies.”
Among others...
Yep. The MSM here in the U.S. are in the tank for Obama. The U.K. media owes him nothing, at least for now. It’s no shame to have poor relatives, but anyone worth a flip, especially a person who is worth millions, does what he can to help destitute relatives. Especially when he is flapping his lip about how we need to be “our brother’s keeper”. He can shut his piehOle at us until he cleans up his own act.
Shoot, if he would send most any of us here on FR Republic his brother’s address at the hut in Kenya, we’d gladly of our own FREE WILL, kick in enough to double his dollar a month income for the next ten years.
Hypocrite Hussein.
The Obama’s cannot find most of their relatives,
the Times of London will.
no and can this be why? i have searched on obamas family dont do it on google u wont find much. Use yahoo!

Because someone might mention she she was a typical rich white woman who was a vice-president at the Bank of Hawaii?
I do think that she has not been well. The photos that I’ve seen indicate that she might not travel well. That being said, she has not even sent a comment or quote via a publicist. Very odd.
I don’t think she was typical at all. I believe that she’s the one who sent Obama to visit Frank Marshall Davis—but this is blog hearsay.
I am also curious as to why his sister has been absent from all the campaign appearances. I don’t think she attended the convention.
Great post! Well done!
The laws will never be obeyed by the democrats.
Very good point! The kinds of questions everyone should be asking!
Thank you!
I agree.
He may be a socialist but he's no dummy. He remembers his significant late losses against HRC and is well aware that the huge conservative electorate will win if we all vote. That's why he is doing everything he can -- using the media and biased polling, creating a presumption of victory, doing what he does best (public speaking) -- to discourage conservative turnout.
Actually, the sister spoke at the convention. It was one of those early (boring) speeches that didn’t get coverage except on C-Span or PBS. Junkie that I am, I saw her. But that’s the only time I can recall her being mentioned during the campaign.
