My brother called my husband last night about a conversation he had had with a friend of his. His friend is not political, but he was furious about what had happened the day before . He went to pick up his dad in Leighton, Alabama. Across from where his dad lives, is a large predominantly African-American church. Usually on Sunday it is packed, but this particular Sunday it was not, there were only a few cars there. While waiting for his dad, he saw one of the members and spoke to him, he asked whats going on, where is everybody? The church member told him that everyone had gone to Ohio to vote. My brothers friend was stunned. Its certainly known that people from other states are going to Ohio and voting, but this guy had no problem telling this information. I truly believe they fear no persecution for this and the Supreme Court paved the way for more and more fraud to happen. It is maddening to just have to sit back and watch Ohio be stolen, any thoughts or ideas about how to report this?
I agree, I don’t know if this guy is willing to do anything with this, as I said he is not political.
I wonder if this had anything to do with it

CLEVELAND — Congregations from 20 Cleveland churches voted early Sunday at the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.
It was part of the Cleveland NAACP’s Vote Big, Vote Early campaign.
About 400 to 500 members took a bus downtown in the afternoon.
Will the friend cooperate with news media and Republican and legal outfits? That is, if you call and tell them what the friend said, will the friend allow you to give his phone # to them?
Went to Ohio to vote on a Sunday? Righhhhhht. Keep yourselves together people, you’re falling for anything.
see post # 22
Read the post just above yours. The article clearly states that the voting was done on a Sunday, and buses came from churches all over Cuyahoga County.
Report the incident to your county registrar. Ask him/her to request an investigation by your county district attorney.
If you know which county they went to, in Ohio, to vote, do the same thing there.
Do not let the registrar/DA slack on this. It helps if you can get other people to go with you to show its not ‘just one person’ who wants the law to be upheld.
Provided this is actually true ... which I have my doubts about ...
Don’t call the GOP. That makes it look political — this isn’t political. Call the Attorney General of your state the AG of Ohio, and the FBI ... give the name of the Church, the Pastor, and any individuals you know were involved.

The registrar of voters needs to be notified, along with the DA. I doubt the FBI will be interested, unless the DA calls them in.
I agree, we will report it, though my brother is sure his friend wants no involvement, we will get the name of the congregation and report what we know. Today, Governor Riley called for citizens to report any suspected voter fraud, so that may be the route we go. Thanks for everyone’s suggestions.
Are any Ohio polls open on a Sunday (legally)?
I have seen churches gather on Saturday for a GOTV effort and use church buses to carry members to the polls, but not on a Sunday.
These folks would miss a day of work on Monday - not the biggest obstacle, since many probably work for a government office.
Please keep us posted on this and let us know who you contact and what happens.
Yes. The Attorney Generals office of Alabama is the right place to call but the GOP should know about it.
This is why I doubt the story so much. Local DA has no jurisdiction here. If they did indeed cross state lines to vote, then it’s a federal offense and totally up the FBI’s alley.
A request for the FBI to investigate has more weight, if the county DA requests, that’s all. The DA would know if it was a federal offense or violated county ordinances.
Perhaps its better to handle things as much as possible on the local level, to help keep citizens involved and in control, rather than signing it over to a federal bureaucracy that you have to get a congressman or senator involved for help.
Local ordinances by definition cannot and do not cover crossing state lines.
So? ACORN creates a bunch of phony registrations, but with reasonable sounding names. These folks take those registration cards, all the ID you need, and go up to Ohio to vote early. They'll probably go back again, at least on election day, but maybe one or two other times. Each time using a different voter registration card.
It would not take much of this in a pretty evenly split state to change the outcome.
Leighton AL to Cincinnati OH, 422 mi, 6 hr 25 mi. Up and back the same day, no problem.
