Maybe Obama will make it home some other time. He hasn't been back to see his ailing 85 year-old grandmother in over a year now. His maternal grandmother in Hawaii is the only living ancestor of the United States Senator and Democratic Party presidential candidate. She's been too ill to travel. His grandmother suffers from severe osteoporosis that keeps her from traveling from Hawaii. But, she does come up in his campaign speeches once in a while. Barack mentioned her when he was campaigning in his grandfather's home town in Kansas.

And, he mentioned her this week, of course. He threw her under the bus because she once said she was afraid of black bum at a bus stop who was harassing her. He said her remarks were just like those of his "G-damning" pastor.

Odd that he would go after she has been released from the hospital instead of while she was in the hospital. Somethings very fishy about this.

Sorry, this is a scam. And as much as the Dems and their friends in the media want to rip into the life of anyone they deem to be a threat to Obama, I think the same standard should be applied here.

This is obviously a political ploy. Obama gets to highlight that he’s part white and he cares oh so much about his typical white person grandmother. I’m sure they have some polling that tells them that he needs to humanize himself and that he still seems ‘too foreign’ to all the typical white gun-clingers and church goers in the hinterlands.

In addition, this narrows the timeframe to get in some licks before the election. Plus the McCain campaign is starting to hit him on his history as a cokehead.

The absolute first thing I thought of, when the news came over Fox, was an excuse for him to get to Hawaii.

Where has the media been on the BC question? Oh — I forgot. We are talking about the media! Not even Fox has covered this, I don’t think.

Sounds suspicious to me. I think he’s really nervous about something coming out soon that will really give him problems. That’s what I suspected earlier today (before this) when he was out pushing his supporters to vote early. He actually gave them some reasons for doing so, such as, your car may break down on election day. You might not be feeling well. The weather might be bad, etc, etc. Anyone else heard him saying these things at a campaign rally earlier today?
