After days of watching in silence, McCain calms the crowd at his Minnesota town meeting.
I want everyone to be respectful. And lets make sure we are, because thats the way politics is done in America.
Tells one supporter who says hes scared of an Obama presidency: I have to tell you, he is a decent person, a person that you do not have to be scared [of] as president of the United States.
After a woman calls Obama an Arab, McCain interrupts to say: No, maam. He is a decent family man, citizen

Didn't you figure out yet that a lot of the "He's an ARAB" catcalls are from Obama *plants*.
Racism is all Obama has left.
McCain is savvy enough not to give the MSM the ammo they crave.
Cheers!
“I think what precipitated this was someone, I think at a Palin rally, yelling “kill him”, in reference to obama.”
What precipitated his response was someone in the audience standing up and saying Obama as POTUS scared him because of what kind of SCJs he would nominate. He can’t let himself be baited by remarks about Obama being musllim, arab, etc......but that is quite different from attacking Obama’s own words about what type of SCJs he would nominate. Obama just stated a few days ago that the next SCJ needs to be someone who can empathize with being gay, an unmarried mother, etc.
I don’t care what McCain thinks he is doing. When your own rally boos you, you messed it up.
I also agree with you!
Exactly. The only bright spot if 0bomber ends up with a stolen victory, 2012 ticket WILL BE RINO-FREE.
There is a bit of comic relief in that statement, LOL!
LOL......so Arabs aren't decent family men? LOL....McCain can't win for losing with that exchange.
C’mon! Sounds to me like she was planted there by Ozero...WOULD you, knowning the cameras are on you, and be honest, WOULD you call him an ARAB instead HUSSEIN? C’MON, something smells !
He is not out to demonize his opponent. He is out to show him as wrong on the issues and the wrong person for POTUS. I know we would all like to see him get really cranky, mean and dirty, but it won’t win him the election. It will most likely turn off more moderate voters, who do not appreciated this kind of discourse.
Believe me, I would love to see him get in the Obama campaign’s face BUT THE MEDIA WILL HANG MC CAIN if he does. Unfortunately too many people listen to the MSM cr@p and so Mc Cain and Palin are walking a thin line.
But hey man, if you want to go bury your head in the sand, and play Bill "Game's over man" Paxton from "Aliens", have at it.
You sir, will lose this election for us... GO TO THE DU site and enjoy them there!

god I'm sick to my stomach. I've sent in money, I have the signs in the yard, I've talked to family, friends and acquaintances about the importance of this election, and McCain just threw it away with both hands.
But that's racist. And any attack on BHO's associations is already being labeled "personal".
John McCain, Too Nice To Be President.
Good mercy, we're trying to win this thing!
I agree!
God willing, He will have His way with the election.
“I applaud Senator McCain. There is a difference between letting someone hang themselves and letting your supports turn into a lynch mob.”
So, it’s acting like a “lynch mob” for a man to stand up and say he is afraid of an Obama Presidency because of the type of SCOTUS judges he might appoint? I guess most of FR is a lynch mob too then because every time I’ve come here, I’ve read the argument about how McCain must win for the sake of the next SCOTUS judges.
What, the election is less important to you now????
We do our part!!!....and leave the results to Him!
The man in the crowd asked McCain/Palin to fight for us.
McCain said no. We will have to find a way to fight for ourselves.
The left media NEED Obama to win and squelch the Internet and talk radio, to save them from financial ruin. The lamestream media is fighting for its life.
If Obama wins and all 4 branches of government are leftist, we may have to use our (blue) control of the countryside and food.
Do I think that McCain or most in Washington truly "fear" Obama at the level that many of us do? Likely not, but you really do have to be careful how you play certain things regarding being "scared" of him in terms of words straight from McCain.
This is probably overblown by ticked off Freepers, but if it proves to be troublesome then you can always use this to make the questions of truthfulness and judgment even stronger, i.e. I believe him to be a "decent" person, so the American people deserve coming clean on these associations, plans for the future etc.
And as for the truly ticked off Freepers that claim they will not vote for McCain now, do you realize that you are mad because he didn't jump on a comment about "fearing" an Obama presidency, yet you are willing to be complicit in electing this dangerous Marxist because of a comment at a town hall rally?
