Obama's supporters scare me. Here is a comment I just read from this story (the story that Dean Reynolds of CBS wrote about Obama's "stinky" plane etc):
Quote: I support Obama, but I disagree on some major issues. One is that we need to use major authoritarian measures against wingnuts and theocrats to save this country. That in particular includes deprogramming institutions and a Gitmo like camp to deal with the worst wingnuts. These people should be removed from general society and need to be shut up.
I have believed this for years, but the behavior of the wingnuts at the McCain and Palin rallies further underscores the need to take harsh action against these people. Lincoln and FDR had to bend the Constitution at times, and I hope Obama has the guts to do so too to deal with these third rate creatures.
John McCain''s Something for Everyone Plan: Military draft for youth, SS benefit cuts for elderly, Middle Class destruction, stock market plunge for wealthy.

Gulags are a prime venue for organizing revolution and resistance against the Stalinists. Are they going to tape our mouths shut and our eyes open? Will they use torture? Will the ACLU come to our defense? Will journos infiltrate the camps and show us sitting down on a hunger strike singing “America The Beautiful” over and over again?
Doesn’t matter, because they won’t dare do this. They haven’t got enough wardens, enough room nor can they forego our voluntary labor and the taxes it generates.
It does, however, expose the mindset of some on the left and this just helps us, in the long run. We are fortunate to have the PUMAs on our side, this time around.
I don’t really think he got over the shock of having some one speak to him that way before I picked up my daughter and stomped out of his office.
No, but I was pretty dammed certain he could have easily seen one no farher away than his closest mirror.
A supporter like this crazy will cost B. Hussein a bunch of votes.
“That in particular includes deprogramming institutions and a Gitmo like camp to deal with the worst wingnuts. These people should be removed from general society and need to be shut up.”.....
That’s funny dumbass, I was thinking the same thing about you.
Too late. They have been up and running for decades.
There is a Norman Thomas High School in Manhattan. For those of you from Rio Linda, Norman Thomas was the Socialist candidate for President in the 1920s-1940s.
Any relation to Evan Thomas of Newsweek?/Just Asking - seoul62.....
Grandfather of Evan Thomas.
Pithy, I like that.
Good.
I hate it when the doctors become gestapo. I just lie.
Quoth Obama:
"We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set, we've gotta have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded."
I have to go with the “troll” diagnosis. That sort of thing wouldn’t even make decent target practice. Too many shooters.
yep. My friends (Messrs. Ruger, Winchester, Garand, and Remington, among others) might have something to say about re-education...
Bravo!
Yup.
And when it gets really nasty and we set up traps, deadfalls, foogas bombs, and all sorts of other mischief?
Sorry, but the left just doesn’t have enough potential stormtroopers to take on our well-armed populace. And, just the announcement of “relocation for reeducation” or “confiscation of firearms” will be enough for me to go out to hunt THEM.
I thought re-education camps were only in communist countries.
But, then that is the Democrap goal, isn’t it?
I’m too old to be scared - but it’s seems to be on the verge of a major meltdown.
I don’t give too much credence to what one supporter from either side favors. It is the candidate’s position that is important.
I’m in favor, and work hard to deprogram left-wing loonies. What does that make me?
I always love the “accidental gun death” analogy. Apparently, statistics show more drownings than gun related deaths. Yet, there are more guns than pools.
