Why Can't We Get As Mny Threads for McCain/Palin?
10/6/08 | Quint Reinheimer

Posted on 10/06/2008 6:04:50 AM PDT by quintr

I'm just curious, since Jane and I check in at Free Republic first to see what happened during the night.

But it seems to us that Obama threads outnumber McCain by about 4 to 1 -- not a scientific observation.

As we get closer and closer to the election, what is McCain doing? What is Palin doing?

Aren't there any pro-McCain threads out there?

Maybe we're just over-reacting, but it seems like our candidates have become invisible.

Just wondering.

If you go to DailyKos, you will find that Palin diaries outnumber Obama diaries by the same ratio. They see Palin as a greater threat than McCain, just as those here see Obama as the bigger threat than Biden.

I think they’re being crowded out by all the pointless vanities. It truly has reached Elian Gonzalez proportions, with no sign of abating.

Invisable? Maybe that’s why their poll numbers are tanking. It seems like John McCain has been in hiding ever since he “suspended” his campaign. I think this guy doesn’t wants to win!
We received a letter for money but I just am not going to waste my money on someone who won’t come out and fight!! This shows me McCain is closer to the dems than to we conservatives. Will I vote for McCain...yes because of Palin and I can’t stand the arrogance of the dems and BHO!

“Aren't there any pro-McCain threads out there?”

It's October.

How many pro-McCain items do you think are being published?

You must not be counting the “What McCain needs to do/say” threads.

You’ve fallen for the MSM b.s. Try not to let it impact your personal life and remember this: Obama is going to lose.

Most articles about McCain/Palin are derogatory and we've already debunked most of it.

We post Obama info because that's what's in the MSM. And we need to know what's being said and NOT said about Obama in order to fight him at a grassroots level.

Many people believe that focusing on the negative will somehow fix things.

The McCain/Palin message is positive. What's good, and what we all can do to make it better.

Obama/Biden message is negative. What's bad, and you need us to fix that for you.

It is healthy to count our blessings. And we are a blessed people.

I used to service a business that when I went to I would say, "How are you doing today?" When it was rainy, they would respond, "Lousy. It's so nasty outside." When it was sunny, they would say, "Lousy. We're stuck inside on this beautiful day." For them it was mostly always lousy.

If those folks were posting here, they would be saying how bad it looks for McCain, how stupid McCain is, how dumb their strategy is, etc; thinking all the while that this is somehow showing support for McCain/Palin.

Except, of course, for the thousand trolls on Free Republic that understand that saying bad things about McCain supports Obama.

McCain is a better choice than Obama. It's as simple as that.

Also, years ago Free Republic attracted conservatives because that was the message. The articles posted were mostly from sources that were themselves conservative.

These days they are mostly from the NY times, ABC, etc., followed by a bunch of whining. If anyone, anywhere, says something negative about conservatives or republicans, some poster will rush to post that on Free Republic. More than once, usually.

I think it's trolls, stupid people and kids.

I think everyone who posts a vanity from this point forward should be fined $100 (with proceeds to go to the FReepathan).
