I suppose $32 is common sense and 43 million dinars is common sense, too?

I don’t know what you’re babbling about, but it seems you are just avoiding my request that you provide the source for your claim. Since you won’t, I assume you made up the figure.

You’re welcome!

So...what’s the solution here? Are the Representatives representing too large a group of citizens? Do we need a Congress of 6000 so we each have more of a voice with an individual rep?

No I didn’t. I have told you and if you don’t want to accept it; tough.

I know that the only one I’d vote for is from the constitution party. The libertarian is an admitted anarchist, which I don’t agree with that line of thinking. And then there’s the dem, and it’ll be a cold day on that. Don’t remember the name of the Const Party candidate but I’ll find it.

Yes, I don’t accept “common sense” as a source of data on our national debt, any more than I’d accept it as a source for the mass of Neptune, the current ground temperature in New Delhi, or the score of latest Cubs game. I doubt you’ll find many conservatives who would.

Goodnight.

No, we just have to ride their ass more, I never used to have to do that with my Idaho guys

I just wrote Mike Simpson and said:

Good job, sleeping with Nancy Pelosi on the first date.

You guys will have more leverage for a better bill on the next go around. Maybe if you didn't quit so easy you could get a capitol gains cut and stop Mark to Market.

Thank god there were some democrats to vote conservative or we wouldn’t have another shot at making this travesty so hard to swallow.

Maybe you ought to listen to Newt Gingrich or Steve Forbes or maybe your constituents before you spend $700 billion dollars. Darrel Issa has a good plan why don’t you start pushing his bill while there is still time. A California representative more conservative that an Idaho one – wow.

Crapo stabbed me in the back last spring also that is why I phoned your office, Crapo’s and Craig's Friday, I never used to do that before a vote until Crapo stabbed me.

The two of you used to be pretty good but I have voted for you for the last time.

Bobby “Black Panther” Rush from Chicago voted No. That’s a shocker to me.

SIGH... Travis Maddox is running against Blunt. He’s a big time supporter of Ron Paul. I really don’t see anyone that’s running against Blunt that’s worth voting for so I may write in a name. /shrug

"What’s up with that? "

NY is the anus of the US, and should have it's statehood rescinded, as well as MA, IMHO.

"They’re pissed off because the pork they wanted for La Raza and the other shakedown groups was taken out,"

I don't like Michael Wiener, but on his show today, he said that La Raza was still included. That is the only group that he mentioned.

Many of the Dims voted no because the bill was not leftists enough for them. After the ACORN money was pulled out of the bill, and the union provisions were pulled out of the bill, and the bankruptcy judge provisions were pulled out of the bill, it lost any support from the hard left.

I’d love to know why so many members of the congressional black caucus - enough to reverse the fortunes of the bill - voted against the bill.

I heard someone analyze this point on FOX this morning. The thought is: Those Dems. who voted against it (specifically those you mentioned) didn't feel it had enough in it for their interests. You know what that means. They wanted more $$$ for their cronies and to give entities like ACORN! HA...that'll never happen. The free ride is over folks, and the next bill won't give ACORN or any of them any chance to lining their coffers at the taxpayer's expense.

The breakdown of the voting in mind boggling. There is no rhyme or reason to it.

$$$$$

There were several simultaneous reasons why people voted as they did.

I am sure that the list of the Democrat-Socialist Caucus voted a straight NO, the freshman dems who ran in ‘06 as ‘conservative’ democrats were given permission from Nancy to vote NO, for very different reasons.

This was a bill without enough pork for the ACORN crowd, and which obviously was too much government money for conservative Republican voters.

The next bill will have more pork, which is why some Republican congressmen voted YES for this one, hoping to stop the hemorrhage.

Wow. A ‘No’ from Kagen? A ‘Yes’ from Ryan?

Kagen's pretty easy to figure out. His win in '06 was a fluke in a relatively conservative area. Now that John Gard is breathing down his neck he has to make concessions where he knows it will have no real effect in order to try and hang on to his seat. I hope the people of his district have had enough of this moron and will turn him into a "One Hit Wonder"

Ryan's the one that shocked me - can't quite figure out that one. I would think he should be leading the charge with better ideas....

“Ryan’s the one that shocked me - can’t quite figure out that one. I would think he should be leading the charge with better ideas...”

That one truly amazed me, too! I have the day off, so hopefully I can catch some of the local chatter on the radio about this. He’s considered an up and coming Republican, so he’d better have a d@mn good reason and not the lame, “Well, I thought it was the best we could get out of them” cr@pola.

Grrrrrr!

>> Only ONE Republican from NY voted against, Randy Kuhl from Rochester/Finger Lakes. God Bless him. The one Republican from my area, Buffalo, voted yes, Tom Reynolds. He is not standing for re-election. What a wimp. I never liked him. <<

I've said for a while that Randy Kuhl is the only principled conservative from the NY delegation and nobody believed me. What a fresh breath to have him replacing RINO Amo Houghton. Of the other NY reps, Vito Fossella was a good conservative til he got caught in a scandal, Tom Renyolds is too cozy with the RINO NYGOP establishment, Peter King a IRA terrorist loving, backstabbing Clintonite who some freepers THINK is conservative because he talks a good game on TV, and the remaining Republican Congressmen in NY are either squishy moderates and/or totally useless RINOs.
