I urge every reader here to take ten minutes out of your day sometime soon and watch this video. Then, if you believe as I do, that it is the most powerful, most truthful exposé available as to the criminal government/Wall Street elements that are behind our current economic meltdown, please send it to as many people as you can.

I know many of you have volunteered, or will be volunteering, to work for the election of McCain-Palin. I will be doing the same. But there is no amount of envelope licking, phone calling, or wearing out of shoe leather that will be able to match the distributing via e-mail of this ten-minute video that fingers the culprits that the media are attempting to keep under wraps. Those culprits are directly involved in this election and the desire to attain the White House and retain control of Congress.

We cannot allow that to happen, and I believe the compilation of facts that this video represents, if placed in the hands of all thinking Americans, will see to it that it doesn't.

In his attempt to explain the causes of this crisis, the President insinuated in his speech of last night that it all started because America’s economy was considered so brilliant that it attracted investors from all over the world. As a result, banks and financial institutions were awash in money, and that state of affairs planted the seed for this debacle. (*choke*)

That is the greatest whitewash of the reasons for this catastrophe imaginable. Either President Bush is completely ill-informed and he believes that tripe, or he is the most blatant liar since Gepetto’s son walked off the woodcarver’s bench.

After the President’s speech, and after I stopped spitting nails, my husband and I watched Brit Hume and his panel on FoxNews offer up a brief analysis.

Charles Krauthammer, who is among my favorite political pundits, opined that the speech was quite good, and that he was surprised that the President spent virtually one-fifth of it attempting to explain the causes of the current crisis – since, in Krauthammer’s opinion, doing so amounts to simply an ‘academic exercise’.

An ‘academic exercise’? To discern what caused this major economic meltdown? Shall we just accept the notion that ‘too much foreign money’ floating around in American banks was the catalyst?

If we don't uncover the reason for this crisis, and determine who was responsible for it, will there be any reform? Or, post-bailout, will the perpetrators eventually continue with business-as-usual? Anyone who has an even rudimentary knowledge of government at any level has the answer to that question at his fingertips.

We are being fed whitewashed reports about the cause of this economic meltdown. If the true perpetrators of this massive criminal undertaking that promises to have devastating effects on the American people for decades to come are not uncovered, removed from power, and punished, there is no hope of realizing the kind of all-encompassing economic and political reform that will be necessary to not only stabilize our economy, but to ensure our very survival as a free republic.

TAKE TEN MINUTES -- AND SPREAD THE WORD!

"Burning Down the House" got over 1 million 20 thousand hits in five days.

That's a viral video if there ever was one!

Could you update this thread with the new link to the video? Some say the Obama goon squads got to the last one. The music has been modified.

I'm probably not hip enough. I don't get your point.

Well, to quote your earlier comment: "This thread is a waste of prime real estate. The video is old news, too long, and has too much annoying music. It won’t hold attention. It should be replaced with the smoking gun in the following thread:"

A video that earns over 1 million plays in five days is a very rare thing, indeed. So it's worth supporting, that's the only point I was trying to make. :)

I have watched it and e-mailed it out. But I have a recommendation. It needs to be edited. Lose the last few minutes of pure partisanship, as it sounds like a McCain commercial.

Not that it isn’t, but it will appeal to more if it is not so overt.

It speeds past the evidence to quickly and requires a lot of pausing to really get a good look at it.

Just my two cents.

OK. I respect your point, but I don’t think it is as powerful as the video of the perpetrators of the current situation saying there is no problem.

Watched it twice...actually Rush touched on many of the points about Dodd’s and Obama’s involvement in this horrific scandal, as well as pointing out that it did have its genesis with the Carter Administration.

Well, depending on your email program, you just copy the link into the message area then add your e-mail addresses into the “To” field. Does that answer your question?

We’re getting rid of Bush. It is these other guys that we have to fight at the moment.

True. Unfortunately, we're stuck with the agreements he signed and the programs he put into place.

If history is any guide, these programs will not be shut down once Bush is gone and the next one is in office.

Thanks for your recommendations, although, as I mentioned earlier on the thread, I am not the author of the video.

I suggest you follow the link and click on 'send message' on the left side of the screen and make your suggestions known to the video's author.

Thanks. :)

Your excerpt about Manuel Lopez is maddening. I have read about such recipients of ACORN's and Citibank's (actually your and my) 'generosity', but never with an actual name or face attached to the narrative.

I'm very familiar with the 'The Acorn Obama Knows' article -- have forwarded it, and ‘Inside Obama’s ACORN’, to many over the past few months.

(BTW, I link to ‘Inside Obama’s ACORN’ in another recent essay I posted here, Sundown in America. If you have the time and inclination, your insights on the information contained therein would certainly add to the dialogue over there, if the thread hasn’t already died a natural death.)

I do believe you may be right in your assertion that Bush is just as culpable as, if not moreso than, congress in creating this mess. And his culpability is even more unpalatable because of his wolf-in-sheep’s-clothing status. Informed conservatives know where we stand with democrats. RINOs are exponentially more wicked in that, at least at first, they provide a glimmer of hope, until their actions prove to belie their words.

Trouble is, too many ‘conservatives’ neglect to do the homework required to discover the latter.

For the past week or so I have been posting economic-meltdown-related stuff on an investment forum on which I have been posting, on and off, for about two years. What I have written over there about the genuine nature of this crisis has been flamed on two fronts: (1) the Obama-supporting investors (an oxymoron if ever there was one, one would think), and (2) the ‘conservatives’ who deeply resent my saying anything at all negative about Bush. And it is the second group that has been the most vicious. I’ll not stop attempting to open a few eyes over there. It’s just frustrating to witness the uninformed opinions, and the lock-step devotion of some ‘conservatives’ who believe that anyone with an R behind his name can do no wrong.

Keep sharing your (obviously abundant) knowledge with everyone who is willing to listen. Most will turn away in disbelief and mark you down as a radical nutcase, but seeds will be planted in minds that you believe are resistant to growth.

Best to you and yours in these troubling times …

Jim,

Several posters have indicated that YouTube has attempted to shut down this video. The author has created a new video, that includes reference to that attempt at censorship. Please see response #209 for a link to the new video. Can we replace the video link in this essay with the link to the new video?

TIA.

Preaching to the choir, but here goes for newer lurkers:

I see it as just another symptom of much bigger problems.

>>>>>The Hegelian Principle can be applied to this financial dilemma:

You remember the steps: The first step (thesis) is to create a problem. The second step (anti-thesis) is to generate opposition to the problem (fear, panic, hysteria). The third step (synthesis) is to offer ** the

solution ** to the problem created in step one, -— change which would have been impossible to impose on the people without proper psychological conditioning achieved in stages one and two.”

Gramsci is laughing.

WHO WAS ANTONIO GRAMSCI?

Antonio Gramsci helped found the Italian Communist Party. Imprisioned by Mussolini, Gramsci spent the last 9 years of his life in prison. While in prison, he wrote nine volumes of observations on history, sociology, Marxist theory and strategy. These volumes, collectively known as “The Prison Notebooks”, contain a strategy that promises to win the world to Marxism voluntarily. In order to do that, Gramsci suggests that strong Western democracies can only be taken by infiltration of the organs of their culture: churches, education systems, newspapers, magazines, the electronic media, and other works of serious literature produced in those democracies. Disillusioned by the brute force of Russian Marxism, but still embracing Marxism as the correct system to be pushed on the world, Gramsci reasoned that a system enacted by force would eventually weaken, but a system sold to a people through their existing institutions would eventually be embraced and spread as if it were naturally a people’s own.

STEPS IN THE PROCESS

1) Turn churches into ideology-driven political clubs.

2) Replace genuine education with a dumbed down and politically correct curriculum.

3) Fashion the mass media into instruments for mass manipulation and for harassing and discrediting traditional institutions and their spokesman.

4) Ridicule morality, decency, and age old virtues without respite.

5) Present the youth, not with heroic examples, but with aggressively degenerate behavioral models.

6) Attack the very building blocks of a moral society: attack marriage and family in order to subvert the social order.<<<<<

Create the problem-they’ve been doing that for at least a decade

Because of the problem they created, financial armageddon awaits(per the creators)

Panic ensues. The people cry out for salvation and embrace state takeovers of everything-which is what the creators wanted to do in the first place, but they knew it would never fly so they quietly maneuvered things and conditioned us to make us think it was all our idea.

I could be wrong.

But it makes sense to me.

solution ** to the problem created in step one, -— CHE-NGE which would have been impossible to impose on the people without proper psychological conditioning achieved in stages one and two.”
