My sister told me about Fr. It was a few months before the first G.W. Bush Election and my parents were for ALGORE! UGH!
The garbage that was being spewed at us was terrible.
WE needed a place to go for good information and I lurked for many years after that. (As you can see by my date.)
Free Republic has truly been a God sent place for me.
Having links for proof is the best thing along side all the smart people (Rathergate) Which has changed news for me.

In ‘02 I was surfing several conservative websites trying to find folks of like mind and clicked on FR because the name intrigued me, what a great site.
I haven’t posted anything because I quickly learned that I would be a Johnny-come-lately and get flamed for reposting something; I don’t think many sleep on this forum, it’s 24/7!
I’m working on another cartoon but y’all probably wouldn’t take to it as well...either...LOL!! That one just came together like no other I’ve done.
This is where I get all the news with few exceptions. No other site has the format this one does where news is easily accessed and sourced. Outstanding, thanks JIM!! You saved my sanity, all of you have...

Glad you got to keep your start date, but it’s funny how all your posts change “names” too.
I walked out of the test feeling like an elephant was off my shoulders.
I’ve been cracking the books about 2 hrs a day before work and 5-8 hrs on my days off for 6 months.
I don’t know what to do with my free time now.

& Yeah,I wasn’t expecting that either...I thought it would just start from my name change request date...But it must be that one can’t keep orig start date w/o doing it like that...Just guessing,as to why.
But tis no big deal...Good thing I wanted a name change ‘cause I suuuuuuuuure got it!
