Although you probably don’t know I’m here because my pings still aren’t working. And yours may not either!
But we’ll survive it dear one. Glad to “see” you!!! ;-))

We can do without the articles table for awhile. Get some rest. Experience has taught me that many sleepless hours dealing with technology (the all night long server restore thingy), makes one prone to mistakes.
I, for one, am pleased the backup is working. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been to a customer site and found that not to be the case.
To: John Robinson
Appreciation for all the years of having everything working +99.9% We have all had those moments when our actions preceded our analysis and ended up with a mess to wade through. Thank God for good backups!

Thanks for your efforts John. I lived under the pressure to keep 300+ UNIX systems humming for PacBell for years. It's no fun. You only hear from the users when there is a problem. Management expects you to do updates when it won't affect the users...that means weekends, evenings and holidays. My worst recovery ran 42 hours. A user managed to issue a transaction that deleted 6 months of data entry. Minutes later, the critical database audit tape snapped in the 9 track drive. It was living hell. I recovered all but a nominal 1,000 transactions around the break in the audit tape. The data entry staff had that recovered by the next day. Coffee helps, but eventually you need sleep to put the neurons back on the road to recovery. Cheers!

Regarding the data loss...see if the feds will add this to the bailout bill, too. :)

Thank goodness that is all it was. I thought the market crash had started, beginning with Freerepublic. :-)

Is it possible to be able to delete all the ping mail?
I think originally I could delete all the old pings but now I can’t.
