I also have a position in AIG, bought it before its low, but then it is likely to come back a lot higher than it was before, much to the chagrin of our socialist lieral A$$HAT utopian Democrats, who believe that risk taking and profit taking are unconscionable. bottom line of course is that you should not lend money to people that stand a good chance of not repaying it.........................

I often speak with Canadian Bankers, and had the occasion to do so last week. We were discussing the mortgage write off situation with US banks.

How is it that Utopianism has infected our finance sysytem? Imagine what it will be like if America's favorite community organizer gets elected? If you earn decent money, it will be seen as a detriment to borrowing it.

[BTW Snugs, here in the USA we usually roast our chickens breast up, and your roast chicken photo has me hankering to try it your way, breast down, just to see the difference.]

I did not see that but will comment. Cooking a chicken or turkey “tits down” makes juices flow through the white meat, making it juicer. For the last cooking time, to brown the bird, turn it “tits up.”

Sounds funny but it works.

I roast my chicken both ways turning it over after about 30 mins then roast another 30 mins and then wrap in foil for the remainder of cooking, this evening I had to hold up a bit longer than expected and it was fine because I had wrapped it well in foil.

I used Stockton as an example because it is #1. It’s income is way above average.

Stockton's Median Household Income is $35,453, which isn't all that high, especially when you factor in California housing prices. It has a heavy Hispanic population plus a relatively high (for California) black population.

Seems to me that in Stockton the CRA probably played a major roll in mortgage writing and mortgage foreclosures.

I wish I could find info somewhere that just breaks bad mortgages down by income.
