The Washington Post isn’t the only daily D.C. newspaper to rave about Sandra Bernhard’s anti-Palin ranting. Wednesday’s Washington Examiner joined in, with the headline "Comedienne delivers enraged optimism." Barbara Mackay claimed "in the end, oddly and subtly, Bernhard’s message is positive."
That’s not the impression you’d get from the blog of Theater J, where Bernhard is appearing. It has video of Bernhard calling Palin "Uncle Women," a "turncoat b—h" and a "whore." One complaint on the blog that Bernhard crosses a line of political incorrectness draws a defense from Ari Roth of Theater J that really drops the curtain on how coarse this show is:

You are correct. You are also, quite obviously, a very kind person. Have a good one.
These women have lost the softness of a woman, the class of a woman, the beauty of a woman. I don’t want them saying anything in the name of womanhood that is offensive, mean, nasty, immoral, classless and attribute it to ‘the women’s cause’.
I would say that these females have lost the strength of a woman. My five-foot two-and-one-quarter-inch mother was able to influence (some might say control) two six-foot-plus boys and a six-two husband without resorting to intimidation and verbal ugliness. She did so because she was certain of herself - sure in her femininity and understanding of right-versus-wrong.
I'd better stop ranting - I think I may be slipping into incoherence!! LOL Thank you, at any rate, for expressing your viewpoint without the hatred that so often accompanies pro-choice.
THAT face is a doorway into her soul. I bet even WOMEN run shireking into the night to escape.

The obvious differences between Palin & Bernhard just reinforces my belief that conservative women are babes and lib wretches are dogs. That’s just how it is!

People who don’t turn the handgun on its side and cock their heads to the side to look down the sights while grinning like an imbecile tend to shoot better than those who do.
I used to think she was sort of attractive, had no idea she looked so hideous. That full on frontal perspective in all these shots is not good for her. It is a man’s nose — a hard drinking man. I wonder if it hasn’t gotten more salient over the years. Bulbous was the first word I thought of too.
If her statement was actually very close to "When Sandra warns Sarah Palin not to come into Manhattan lest she get gang-raped by some of Sandra’s big black brothers", then an argument could be made that the threatened black rapists would be acting at the instigation of Bernhard, which could result in Bernhard getting a visit from the Secret Service.
