Palin and those 'scary' Christians

ABC News Ties Sarah Palin to Pentecostalism

"As America gets a crash course in Sarah Palin, the question has been raised of how her two decades as a member of the Assemblies of God church in Wasilla has shaped her personality. If elected, Sarah Palin would become the most powerful Pentecostal in U.S. history. So how has this church shaped her as a leader"

What is interesting about this is that my father (a minister now for forty years) was an Assemblies of God pastor for seven years and was also a pastor for many years with Church on the Rock International. That is the ‘non-denominational’ church referred to in the article that Sarah Palin now attends. (My father is now pastoring a Four Square church). Church on the Rock is an association of churches, not a denomination, so they can technically get away with calling themselves ‘non-denominational’.

Funny how the Left covers their ears when it comes to Obama being a Christian.

Doesn't seem to bother them.

Maybe they don't believe he is a Christian?

AND If elected, Obama would become the most powerful cult follower in U.S. history. Yet ABC probably thinks Black liberation theology is just mainstream Christan, so no news flash on this....

And the war against religion continues.............

It’s ok that Obama was a member of a black liberation theology church. That church is a Christian denomination, but that’s apparently ok, because Barack is liberal. And we’re not allowed to say anything about black liberation theology because that would be racist to bring up.

If you are conservative and go to a Christian church, watch out! At least if you are a Republican.

Jimmy Carter is a born-again Christian, and was a proud Southern Baptist when he was president. I don’t remember such animosity about his religion back in the day. Maybe that’s because Jimmy is a good Democrat???

You’ve got to have a “D” after your name in order to catch a break from the politically correct crowd.

No even better they believe Obama is a Muslim. Nothing gets left swooning more than an aggressive, violent collectivist faith.

Funny how the DNC’s CNN Division doesn’t think religion should be involved in the government, until a Republican who is a Christian runs for office. Then religion is suddenly one of the most important topics of discussion.

Then after January 20th, 2009, we better never hear the word God again for four years, or Palin will be skewered ALL OVER AGAIN.

Satan sure has a lot of friends on the left.

questions have arisen...some people say...

Reporters feel free to abandon objectivity and facts, because their stories are about rumors, not facts. How convenient.

Satan has to split his time between D.C., Chicago, and New York.

***Sarah Palin would become the most powerful Pentecostal in U.S. history. So how has this church shaped her as a leader"***

Pentecostal?

Perhaps she will be able to chat up world leaders in their native tongue without needing an interpreter?

Or

Or she can be the cornerstone of McCain's health plan by healing people without needing to raise taxes to fund new social programs?

Seriously, we Christians are promised that the world will hate us, this hit piece is no surprise.

And frankly, California. And I live there. I can bear witness to that, our Governor and Legislature are proof.

The media has suppressed all mention of Obama’s membership in a racist, hate-filled, Black separatist church. The media’s hypocrisy is at a new low.

Why should they when everyone heard him call himself a Muslim?

I just can’t believe people are letting that slide. It was Freudian as it can possibly be.

I think he giggles himself to sleep at night with the idea of (should he win) taking his “oath of office” on the Quran — knowing full well that once he’s elected, he can get away with it.

I think he’d do it too.
