Sept 10, 2008 Astrobiologist David Deamer believes that life can spontaneously emerge without design, but he thinks lay people are too uneducated to understand how this is possible, so he gives them the watered-down version of Darwins natural selection instead, which he knows is inadequate to explain the complexity of life. Thats what he seemed to be telling reporter Susan Mazur in an interview for the Scoop (New Zealand). Is the lay public really too dense for the deeper knowledge of how evolution works?...

No. Just wiser than some on earth.
OK. The English versions are inadequate. Perhaps we should pull them from distribution as the are not the perfect word of God?
Let me see if I understand that correctly.
There are scriptures in the Bible about exactly that. It may help to begin there.
So you have some clear, precise prophecies that Christ fulfilled? I would like to see them.
Sadly I think you are another poser who hasn't even read any prophecies : ( Not that I blame you, because there aren't any true prophecies.
You said, "liberal mayor in Montgomery county Maryland who DIS-invited santa to come and light the town Christmas tree because he might somehow offend the handful of non-American children there." The clear implication was that anyone who wouldn't want Santa lighting the Christmas tree was non-American. I know some Jewish people who do not celebrate Christmas and are uncomfortable with having Santa shoved in their faces for a month each winter, so the obvious conclusion was that you would call them non-American.
(Frankly, I'm uncomfortable with having Santa shoved in my face for a month every winter, too. I would not miss him at a tree-lighting ceremony--I wish we didn't have to inject the present-bringer into every other Christmas ritual.)
I've found two discussions. One says,
The style of writing of Genesis I is historical, using the waw-consecutive to express consecutive action (waw = and)....This is very important as it relates to the events of Genesis 1. Francis Andersen observes: "A string of WP (waw-consecutive) clauses in narrative prose (historical) stages events as occurring in a time sequence one after another. It is implied that one is finished before the next begins,...The other says,
the "waw consecutive"...does not ALWAYS indicate temporal sequence, as indeed the grammar indicates....this would justify our own use of the pluperfect for the sake of context; indeed, even commentators that prefer to keep the simple past tense suppose not that there is a contradiction, but that G2 is reporting the order out of sequence purposely in order to stress man's dominion over the created animals. So yeah, it seems like this is another case of "you must believe the Bible literally except where you must interpret it, and where you must interpret it, you must believe my interpretation."
I’ve seen that argument, and seen it debunked.
The only thing more dangerous to understanding than total ignorance is partial knowledge.
So you have total knowledge?
Me: Are you saying that there were not Soviet Afghanis that later went on to be mislabeled as Muslim fundamentalists by the MSM? Are you saying that many of the major terrorist groups in the Middle East are not secular Communists or socialists? Are you saying that many, if not the majority of suicide bombers in the Middle East and South Asia are not socialists/Communists? Be specific!
T-Logic: Specifically, Im saying your arguments are a load of crap.
Let’s start with suicide bombers. Robert Pape conducted a study of suicide bombers around the world. He found that the vast majority of them were Communist/Socialist. For example, take the suicide bombing campaign waged by Hezbollah (the so-called “Party of God”) in Lebanon. According to Pape:
“I had colleagues scour Lebanese sources to collect martyr videos, pictures and testimonials and biographies of the Hizbollah bombers. Of the 41, we identified the names, birth places and other personal data for 38. We were shocked to find that only eight were Islamic fundamentalists; 27 were from leftist political groups such as the Lebanese Communist Party and the Arab Socialist Union; three were Christians, including a female secondary school teacher with a college degree. All were born in Lebanon.”

In short, an astonishing 71% of the suicide bombers who blew themselves up on behalf of the Iranian-backed “Party of God” were in fact atheistic Communists and secular socialists. How do you explain that Tacticalogic???
That's funny--one of the two discussions I found said almost exactly that same thing. Can you tell from the content which one it was?
But my point was really that a little Googling turned up two contradictory discussions of Hebrew grammar, both attempting to resolve apparent contradictions in the Bible, and both absolutely sure they were right. I think it'd help if you provided a link to the interpretation you accept and explain why you think it's authoritative.
The wealth of the lawyers is exponentially related to the number of laws they enact.
I’m not chasing your red herring. Go waste somebody else’s time with it.
LOL...Why am I not surprised! At least now when we refer to the majority of Middle East suicide bombers as being part of the extended materialist family, you will have some inkling of what we’re talking about.
You’ve made the right decision. His bold assertion that 71% of the suicide bombings are from atheist/socialist regimes is nonsense. It took about twenty seconds worth of research to find the Lebanese Communist Party, whom he would lead you to believe is purely atheistic, is in fact comprised mostly of Christians. Also, Robert Pape’s research found that suicide bombings were usually the result of boundary disputes.
Law as in the “Law of Gravity”.
Theory is a postulation that has been verified to some degree. It does not rise to a Law because there are elements yet to be explained (like the evolution of the eye).
This is the totality of your supercilious little quiz I intend on taking. If my answers are not pointy-headed enough for you, I’m sure I’ll hear about.
I believe in Intelligent Design, which is as incapable of absolute proof as Evolution. And I have yet to see it disproved scientifically. Even Einstein conceded that the complexity of the Universe implied the hand of a higher intellect.
My faith in God drives my belief system, not an atheistic, begging-the-question agenda desparately contriving, to no avail, to disprove God’s existence.
I shall not cravenly apologize for this or accept the “theory” that it is symptomatic of a degraded intellect.

Who's "we"? Who else are you expecting to sign on to an argument that's just a bunch of guilt by association fallacies stacked one on top of the other?
Welcome to my kingdom for I am the Intelligent Designer and you are my slave.
Isn't it required by ID that there be no link to God? Why would you believe in a movement that has a leader that says the Designer may be dead since there was no evidence of his interaction in evolution for the last few hundred million years?
