(Regarding) the phony inquiry being staged by Alaska Democrats concerning Governor Palin’s sacking of recalcitrant underling Walt Monegan.

For anyone doubting that this whole ”investigation” is a partisan scam cooked up by a bunch of good-old-boy political hacks, here’s a smoking gun from the Obama-Biden campaign web site:

I’m gonna tell you this, do not play chess with the McCain campaign. They are on the offensive.

If old John governs anything like his campaign has operated, we’ll be okay in January.

“High gas and energy prices are squeezing Alaskans harder than anyone else in the US,” Senator Kim Elton of Juneau said. “We need a president who will work to make Alaska resources part of our country’s energy solution. Barack Obama has long been a supporter of Alaska energy priorities like the Alaska natural gas pipeline. He’ll work as president to invest in Alaska’s energy future and make Alaska part of the answer.”

I'm sure that James V. Grimaldi of the Washington Post is gonna be ALL OVER this story, just as soon as he gets done sniffing all the dirty underwear in Sarah Palin's laundry hamper...

Or not.

No, I believe the guy tasered the boy (which is bad enough). There is a separate death threat in which he threatened to put a bullet in Mr. Heath’s head (Sarah Palin’s father). Either should have been enough to get him fired. And there was more....

Add to that the threats against Palin’s father, and several other charges that have been files against the trooper — one involved hunting without a permit, and I seem to also recall something about being intoxicated in his police cruiser.

From what I recall (read about this the night before she was chosen) they had originally given him a 10-day suspension, and the Union had a fit and reduced it to 5 days - despite the fact that the Security detail in charge of protecting the Governor had declared him a clear and present threat to the Governor and her entire family...

Also, just for good measure — none of this had anything to do with WHY she fired Moneghan. The reason she gave for firing him (not that she needed ANY reason at all as he served “at her pleasure”) is because he failed to properly file Troop Vacancy paperwork. She even went as far as to offer him a job in a different department of the State Government and he refused it...

All the ones who could actually stay awake have probably been pressed into the fight. I love the old gal in the alternatively fashioned top.

I'm sure this isn't the highest idiot density ever recorded for a single room: the crowd at a Rage Against the Machine concert probably holds that dubious honor. But it might be a record for Alaska.

First she cleaned out all the RINO repubbies, and now she's cleaning "the other house". The dimowits are upset that she is cleaning their trash out too!

For the record-

We are talking about getting rid of a a person who tasered a ten year old. Shot a moose on his wife's ticket (he is an agent of the state, his job is to uphold the law. To top it off, are we talking about the person who had been drinking, get in a state vehicle, and drove off? Oh, he had an open container (alcohol) in his hand too....Never mind, for lib's anything goes....do as I say, not as I do.

THAT is a PRICELESS interview! Thank you so much for posting the link. I just loved how after Gravel totally went after them about “Troopergate” which he said will come out in her favor they didn’t even reply — just “let’s talk about another issue”. Too hysterical. I guess the interview didn’t quite turn out the way they hoped!

The trooper's stepson "ASKED" to be tasered after his stepfather got back from a taser training session with his brand new toy.

Fortunately, he did not come home from a fire-safety, body armor or bomb diffusing workshop or we'd be dealing with a negligent homicide. That's a mandatory 30 day suspension under the Union's rules.

He used his wife's ticket to put down a rabid moose. Though the moose was a grave danger to public safety, he felt so badly about harming an animal that he had to get half-drunk in order to do it. I understand he also tasered himself several times afterward as penance. His son was accidentally involved trying to console him.

Or at least that's the story being put into the legislative record.

ping to some great FReeper researchers.....

Fundamental, stunning conflicts of interest in the Democrats overseeing the “Troopergate” investigation in Alaska, which is being revealed to be a total Demagogue partisan scam. The two key figures, Hollis French and Kim Elton, are both highly partisan Democrats who are on Obama’s official website as fervent Obama supporters!!

Why has no one in the media picked up on this? OK, did I even have to ask? Once again, FR and bloggers (I know, not the same thing) are leading the way......

Both men are quoted in summer press releases as spokesmen for Obama energy policies. Bet they wish they could take those PRs back because this is documentary evidence that French and Elton are completely IN THE TANK for Obama.

one clarification: Hollis French is not the actual “investigator” but rather oversees the supposedly “independent” investigator who he appointed.
