I did a military.com search and the name Hollis French showed no hits. I'd like more info on when he claimed to be a Marine and where the Gunny title came from.

It’s my understanding that Sarah Palin had asked the Alaska State Personnel Board to investigate this, because that meant that all of the information would have to be made public. In the other investigation, things can be done behind closed doors, and they don’t have to release everything.

So, there it is. The guy overseeing the troopergate ”investigation” and the man charged with keeping him honest are both proud Obama partisans.

The problem with the above is that the Trooper investigation was already underway weeks *before* Palin was picked as McCain's running mate. Supposedly McCain's pick was Top Secret so how did these supposedly evil cretins know ahead of time to start this investigation to help Obama? Were they brilliant fortune tellers with a Ouija board? Or is it remotely possible the investigation was already in place for other reasons having nothing to do with Obama?
