UTICA, New York - Republicans John McCain and Sarah Palin left St. Paul, Minnesota, with a smallish bounce overall and some energy in key demographic groups, as the race for the presidency enters a key stage and voters begin to tune in to the contest, the latest Zogby Interactive poll finds.

The McCain/Palin ticket wins 49.7% support, compared to 45.9% backing for the Obama/Biden ticket, this latest online survey shows. Another 4.4% either favored someone else or were unsure.

I thought the same thing, you mean when Obama had 50% it was EXACTLY 50%? They really are sickening aren’t they?

Obama just can’t seem to break out of that mid 40’s range.

Heck Rasmussen and Gallup said the other day accurate numbers would not be in until Monday or Wednesday.

This is the Zogby Interactive poll, not the traditional Zogby International call-based poll. IMHO, the Zogby interactive poll is not worth much because the participants are self-selected and Zogby has to significantly “weigh” various demographics to come up with a result.

We must remember to thank Obama and his DemonRat media operatives for helping to make Palin a popular figure.

“McCain’s favorability rating increased from 50% favorable last week to 57% favorable now, a significant jump that indicates the GOP convention was a success. Among independent voters, 61% now have a favorable impression of him, compared to just 49% who said the same a week ago.

Nearly half - 49% - said they had a favorable opinion of Barack Obama, while 50% they had a negative impression of him. Among independent voters, 47% gave him favorable marks, compared to 46% who said the same thing last week.”

Obama is going to have to go negative...which is fine by me because we’ve got the baracuda ready to counterattack at a moment’s notice.

This is nice, but Rasmussen is the best.

Not the complete post Convention Bounce - that comes Monday Night.

The ONLY reason McCain might NOT pull this out is the guy sitting in the White House.

“The striking thing here in this poll is that McCain has pulled ahead among Catholics by double-digits.”

###########################

What’s striking is that the pro-baby killing ticket of Obama-Biden gets ANY Catholic votes at all. Must be those Kennedy/Kerry/Pelosi-style “Catholics”.

So wait...61% of independents have a favorable opinion of McCain but only 47% feel the same about Obama?

Obama’s in trouble if true.

We just might win this thing.

A 4% lead is “small” for Republicans and “significant” for the Obambi and his blundering buddy. BWAHAHAHA. I wouldn’t trust Zogby if they told me the sun rises in the east.

If Zogby concedes a "small" lead, the reality must be bigger. This is bad news for Obama. Generally the Dem candidate is leading at this point.

As each day passes, the McCain campaign’s brilliant strategy becomes clearer. It’s reverse rope-a-dope. They allowed that clevwer Chicago pol, Barry Obama, to stake his entire campaign on reform. They sat in idle as he picked the bloviator in chief, Joe Biden, to be selected as “balance” to Obama’s “reform” ticket. They then blew him out of the water with Sara Palen, a genuine reformer and hard core conservative. This allowed the more moderate, but definitely reformist, John McCain to emerge. Where, exactly, does Obama go? To well-deserved oblivion.

Imagine where Mc/P would be if the press praised their middle America values and punished O for his leftist/Marxist positions.
