Hundreds of flags that were discarded by the DNC and headed to the trash were rescued and are being given out today at the McCain-Palin Rally in CO.
It is unclear as to how the flags were discovered, some were reportedly discovered by a vendor by a dumpster. The flags were stuffed into dozens of black garbage bags and others were crammed into a supply closet awaiting disposal...Developing details...
I got 3 of the flags at the COS rally today!! My wife shook McCain’s hand. As an American by choice (a legal immigrant from Morocco), she’s all pumped up!
My estimate: over 10,000 at the rally. I was surptised at how many black people showed up. Of course El Paso County (the largest county in Colrado)is a little odd that way, The Hispanics already vote Republican.
Silverio Salazar, lifetime Democrat activist, cousin of Ken Salazar, and Hillary supporter, publicly endorsed McCain at the rally. I saw quite a few Hillary Dems there.
I don’t laugh on purpose. But liberals are so earnest when spewing nonsense that I can’t help it.
"Once an event is over, anything left behind thats not properly boxed and labeled, with shipping arrangements already made and relayed to convention management, is absolutely considered trash and will be treated as such by the union people who clear the floor within a matter of hours after an event closes.
Absolutely, I worked McCormick Place (Chicago) and Rosemont (Ohare Expo) and it doesn't matter if it's a Red Ferrari, if you don't ship it in 36 hours, you'll never see it again.
I love how the DEMS are all of a sudden even more defensive (seems to be their posture 24/7 these days) as if anyone believes they actually care about those flags. They are just sorry they were again exposed for the lowlife scumbags that they are.
I bet that at the next rally when Messiah Obama asks them to not throw their flags away (IF he does) they won’t ridicule him,,they won’t say he’s making something out of nothing.
They will simply comply like the good little minions they are because there Idol Obama said so.
The upside down U.S. flag is an official signal of distress. It is not meant to be, and is not officially recognized as any type of disrespect when so displayed for the right reasons. To the contrary, here is the relevant part of the US Code of Laws regarding how to fly the flag when in distress:

Juvenile thugs, all of them. Except they have the Mobs from all over the country doing their dirty work.
“Youre on the wrong forum, bud. We patriots honor our American flag in ALL ways at ALL times, that includes the tiniest to the largest flag. I know I am not alone in this.”
OK- I’ll try this again- although I think I’ve been as clear as possible on this- I’ve never said I think it’s ok to treat any flag like this. I have never, nor will I ever, dispose of a flag improperly. In fact, I am one of those often-seen-as-annoying guys that has no problem letting people know that they are displaying their flag in an improper or disrespectful manner, even if their intent is to express their patriotism. The reality, though, is that most people do not agree with us on this. Just go to any large patriotic event where hand-held flags are handed out- including ones that draw a crowd that is primarily or entirely made up of people who self-identify as Republicans. Do you really imagine that all those people take those flags home and treat them according to the current Flag Code? Do you imagine that most Americans either have a collection of properly stored or displayed hand-held flags at home or actually dispose of them properly on a regular basis? I hate that this happens. It’s a problem that I take very seriously. To pretend that this is something that only far left Dems do, though, and that most swing voters have never done it and would be offended at it being possible just doesn’t make sense given the huge number of flags that are very obviously improperly disposed of after any such event. I think we have much stronger issues than this to highlight this campaign season.
Where did you see them? They would be priceless!
The Drudge link did get fixed right away.
I saw the Biden flag pic.
It was late at night.
The kids you can understand.
Biden, not at all.
“This wasn’t just “small’ Flags, some were full size on the pole, American Flags. Not unlike the size and the type, the color guard uses.”
If we’re talking about a bunch of full-sized flags being stuffed into garbage cans, then that changes things quite a bit, of course- I just haven’t seen any of those pictures yet. If that’s what was going on, then this story certainly has much better legs than previously reported.
Obama himself is merely a prop.
force the press to cover this. everyone should email the ap at info@ap.org and OVERLOAD them
If the DUmocrats have to LIE about the little things, that should be a big clue as to their character or lack thereof.
Anyone report the theft to the police?
I hope they disinfected them.
Granted, there were far more small ones than the full size ones.
#4 Obama Supporter 9/6/2008 7:54:38 PM I was there. I was at the Obama speech. It was terrific, but as it ended, I watched the flags being thrown into trash bins. I asked why they were throwing out American flags. People just ignored me.
I believe Sen. Obama and his supporters like me should be outraged at this trashing of our flag...not making up lies and excuses for what was going to be done with them. Besides...ask yourself...why would they need to "save" the flags for future events? Why not let the people keep them as souvenirs? Why ask for them back? No. They were throwing them in trash bins. I was there. No more will I support Obama.
Heres the MONEY QUOTE of the day....
The flags were there for a week and a day and no one came looking for them.
