ST. PAUL -- The 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant, Palin said on Monday in an announcement intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her child.

I ran my truck into a tree once. No, it wasn’t a DUI incident, but what if someone ran and something like that came up? “Look, she can’t even control her vehicle after it jumps the curb. How could she handle being VP?” Not everyone is perfect. Look hard enough and something can be found out about anyone. I mean, my own husband had criminal damage charges on himself many years ago (soap in a fountain). If I ever ran for office... wow.

Adoption is a valid option. But, they have already decided they want to keep the baby. Seems their choice is made.
I’m surprised I haven’t heard more about how she was pregnant herself when she got married (eloped)!
The oldest boy was born a few years after they were married.
They eloped to save money which I think was very honorable.
Please provide those dates. I dispute your claim.
They eloped on August 29, 1988...when are you saying Track was born?
Was not Track born on April 20, 1989?
It looks like he was born 8 months after they were married. No telling if she was pregnant or not. Could have been either way.
She and her husband were adults, and they’ve been married a long time. That’s the good thing.
Rhett, Darlin’, Finally...finally, you have said something that I am in complete, O J Simpson 1000% agreement with!!!

Amen to that ! Me too !!
bump! bump! bump!
Well, these days the stats aren’t good for teenagers having kids and getting married. I pray they will be fine, but odds are they will get divorced.
Adoption may be the perfect choice for her and her baby, and please, God, let that be true. Otherwise, when she walks through that door, encountering your unyielding prejudices against ALL parents, except the ideal family that YOU have decided is the correct, the only family in which a child should be reared...she will be told, by you...that SHE is not that ideal parent, she does not fit YOUR mold...
Sad. Pathetic. Wrong.
I wish I could respect what you are doing, for adoption is a wonderful thing for many, many children and many, many families, but, respect is impossible with your unrelenting refusal to embrace anything other than your own narrow views.
I am now finished with any further discussions with you...after a near dozen or so posts between the two of us, incredulously, you ask why I am angry? ...?!?!?
Either you have read nothing I have written or you have severe comprehension problems...anyway, I am finished. I will post nothing further to you. I will not read additional posts from you.
I don’t think I’d done the math, but if that’s the case, then the girl gets it honest, doesn’t she?
This is a real family.
The elitists kill such unwelcome, surprise family members.
That isnt what I said. As I stated earlier, adoption is a wonderful alternative to abortion. But people who love and want their babies should be supported in that decision not talked down to about how babies are better off put up for adoption. Parenting is a God given right, if a parent chooses to give that right up because they cant handle it is one thing. For someone to tell a parent they should give up that right “in the best interest of the child” is quite another! Forced adoption should happen in only very extreme cases (ie physical/sexual abuse). Babies belong with their parents!
But someone else is at work here. Who could it be? Perhaps, oh, I don't know, uh ...
SATAN?
Certainly not verbatim, but the gist is there, lol.
We kept our fingers in the leak of this dam over the extended weekend. Now talk radio is grinding the Palin bashers up. [Contented sigh.]
Thanks.
