I don’t think it reflects well on Sarah’s moral compass. My 19 yr old has boys drooling over her but we have inculcated in her the need for boundaries. I’ve heard a lot about Palins values, but what about spiritual beliefs. Any threads on their religious practices and where they go to church?

No, it's not nonsense. IF TRUE, it's going to be used endlessly to bash socons as hypocrites, as "proof" that only pushing condoms on teens can prevent teen sexual activity, and to bash the Palins in particular as trailer trash.

You can't prevent teen sexual activity and it's stupid to pretend otherwise. Sarah should have made sure Bristol was on the pill and knew about the importance of using condoms.

It does present a problem, but abortion is a real issue so it presents an opportunity also. She can move the conversation to responsibility over convenience and unconditional love of our children in a way a man could not.

It is also another landmine laid out by the McCain campaign because the more they attack her and the degree to which they attack her will move more women to vote for the GOP ticket.

Like anything else - with class and dignity. This isn't a big deal. the daughter will get married, have baby, and life will go on. This is her daughter, not her. At seventeen, the daughter is close to being out the front door, and on her own.

At least this child stands a chance...in obamahouse, the baby would be dead tissue in hours at an abortion mill.

If he had eliminated her because of it, Bristol most likely would have felt like it was her fault. McCain was obviously thinking of the girl, and he knows his base pretty damn well.
