[translated from Polish]
The assembly of a gigantic monument of Christ the King has just begun on the outskirts of Swiebodzin, Poland.
Situated on the small hill several miles east of the German-Polish border, the statue is erected not only as a fruit of faith of the local people but also as a towering symbol of welcome to Catholic Poland, perfectly seen from both A-2 Highway and S3 Fastway.
Almost 100-foot-tall statue of Christ the King will be 4 feet higher than a famous statue of Christ the Redeemer, which is overlooking Rio de Janeiro.
Designed by a priest Sylvester Zawadzki and built from private donations of the local people, the monument will be inaugurated soon.

Poland rocks and the girls are pretty.

Beer’s good, the weather’s fine, what’s not to like?
Wonderful...
Wow! Fantastic! :-D
Hallelujah!
Watch out, the PCLU will be on their case soon.
GOOD for the Poles.
I wish Ireland would come back to its senses.
I love Poland!
“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Ph. 2:10-11
that’s gonna anger the parasitic muslim militants in their midst.
Muslims won’t be happy about this. Toooo bad for them.
Long live Poland!!!
We need a Statue like that in this country as well. Somewhere very visible.
The simple truth is that there are no Muslims in Poland :-)
(in fact, some 5,000 or so within almost 40 million nation)
This is great news. I am continually gratified at how the Catholic church, and religion in general, were able to survive and wait for better times under communism. Remember that communism is officially atheistic, and that religious activity was discouraged and strictly regulated under communism. It says something about the strength of religious faith that the faith was forced underground and yet outlasted communism.
Like at the end of the reflecting pool on the mall at Washington D. C.
