If these so-called and self-described anarchists (who really aren't any such thing) had the brains of a bean, they'd realize the police aren't going to tolerate anything that looks like it might get out of hand. They've been saying so for weeks. So "approaching the police" was probably the stupidest thing possible in that situation.

Who ARE these protesters? They sound like people who just hate everybody and everything on principle.

Most likely nothing, because they're busy with a bunch of troublemakers.

Then watch Ward Churchill, Bill Ayers, Cindy Shaheen and all the other Green Party freaks jump up to be the heads of the new liberal socialist riot force, directed at storming the Dem convention, with running commentary from Michael Moore and his film crew on location to make his new film about revolution in "Hamerica."
Then according to script, the anointed one, the messiah himself, comes out to address the crowds of threatening rioters, urging them on with Hope & Change to take America back from its oppressive conservative gangsters...blah ...blah ...blah.
Man the barricades, turn over police cars, the Orwellian Utopia of the new century is upon us!
Of course this will turn America off to the point that the Dems will not have much of a chance, THIS TIME.
Lets just hope some bunch of "weathermen revisited" freaks don't start placing bombs around Denver, or pull out guns. Glad not to be in Denver. The place is an accident waiting to happen.
Denver is under continuous surveillance by National Security Agencies.And the effort is extremely sophisticated. Lets hope it is enough.
