Fox News is announcing that Tony Snow has died.

Heartbreaking news.

Do you know if a memorial is planned and, if so, will it be televised? What about the funeral?

My wife died of colon cancer at 45. For 8 years, her doctor told her she had Irritable Bowel Syndrome. By the time they caught it, it was a full blown level 4 cancer. Prayers for Tony’s family, and please everyone get a second opinion with something like this.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ve heard other stories about colon cancer and the docs who weren’t the best at their medical care. My grandmother was diagnosed in the 70s when it was almost impossible to do anything. It had progressed so that treatment was not an option.

I think with the time alloted for his segment she did not think it was time or place for those remarks he will have his radio show and had already earlier in the day mentioned this hit piece.

She may well also have been being pressured by her producer to wrap the segment up as time was running out.

Good point she does it to all probably when getting hurry up in her ear piece from a producer. She does like to cover a lot in her shows and consequently does have to jump quickly from one to another and I think this was true of yesterday she had more clips in her show and comments about Tony than Bill or Geraldo following did and consequently it does me moving on quickly.

I do not think she meant anything against Rush though the AP comment had been made by him earlier and I think in the time he was allotted on Greta's show maybe he did not need to mention it again. He no doubt will mention it at length on his radio show.

I kept pressing pause on the recorder

He had a rock band — Beats Workin’ — they played all over the D.C. area.
He seemed so musically gifted.

Does anyone know if there are CDs from this band? I wondered if there isn’t, could someone put one together and give portion of proceeds to his family?

While out weeding my thoughts were on Tony and his family. Does anyone know if a trust fund will be set up for the children’s education?

Tony’s main concern was being able to earn enough to take care of his family. We would be honored to be able to remember Tony in this way and I know there would be a tremendous outpouring of support.

Certainly I’m not the first one to think of this and hopefully plans are already under way.

He’s looking down, I suppose, smiling and getting a chuckle out of the tears rolling down my face as I write this... because he knows in our sorrow, we celebrate his life.

I love this statement...thinking of Tony's grin and laugh makes me smile and cry all at the same time..

snugs I don’t know that he gave up. His friends on FNC don’t believe that he did. I’d heard that he’d died of infection also referred to as complications from cancer. Not the cancer itself.

I could be wrong, but I would like to give our friend every benefit of his commitment to life and to his family.

I started watching at about 6.35 and came in on the latter half of Roger Ailes’s interview.

Stunned, not seeing why Tony’s picture was up or why they were talking about him it took a few minutes before I knew what I feared in my heart.

GHWB and Barbara Bush came on shortly afterward.

I was shocked and my timelines may be off but I would be shocked if they went to air it before the President was told.
