Members of the terrorist-supporting group Code Pink repeatedly heckled President Bush's speech at a naturalization ceremony for new American citizens this morning at Monticello, the home of Declaration of Independence author, Thomas Jefferson.
Code Pinko Desiree Farooz, infamous for getting in the face of Sec. of State Condoleezza Rice at a House hearing last fall in a stunning breakdown of security, rushed the stage where President Bush was speaking. Taking advantage of distractive actions being taken by other Code Pinkos, Farooz was able to get past the front row and turn toward the stage before she was intercepted by security.
It appears that she was able to get close enough to the stage that if she had explosives secreted on her person she could have done the unspeakable.
You Tube video here. The 42 second video was posted by David Swanson, moonbat extraordinaire, of AfterDowningStreet.org. Sadly, Swanson claims to be a graduate of Thomas Jefferson's University of Virginia.
Local news reports the protesters were ejected from the grounds after their outbursts, but that no one was arrested.
The Secret Service needs to explain why Code Pinkos keep getting close to their protectees. Last weekend Farooz got close to John McCain when she rushed the stage at a speech he was giving in Washington, D.C.
Of course, Barack Obama has nothing to fear from Code Pink, they're funding him.
These people are crazy. Couldn’t they at least have had a little respect for the people who were becoming citizens, even if they want to vent at Bush?
That said, she could have done damage if she had explosives and got that close to the stage. I would imagine that they were wanded or checked at the entry point to the ceremony, though, so that probably wasn’t very likely.
Personally, I would have liked to have seen her beaten to a pulp. But that’s one of the reasons I’m not in law enforcement, I guess!

Code Pink hangs out with Weather Underground terrorist Cathie Wilkerson who accidently blew up a Greenwich Village brownhouse she was hiding out in with a bomb that was meant for a soldiers dance at Fort Dix.
I can't believe I couldn't get a ticket cause of these loons. Their posters were plastered all over the Downtown Mall yesterday. That, and they have no shame: whatever their disagreement with President Bush, disrupting a naturalization ceremony is just plain wrong.
Everyone and their brother in political circles and certainly the Secret Service knows who these clowns are, why do they get access time after time after time?
Where’s Blackwater when you need them?
this asshat should have been tackled and cuffed at a minimum -jmho
If she's in jail, she's probably at the Charlottesville-Albermarle Regional Jail over on Avon Street Extended, in which case, if I feel motivated enough, I might have to run down there and make fun of her.
Everyone, please think about this: if someone really does have an assassination plot, what better way to weaken/break the cordon of security protection for a POTUS than to utilize nutty “protestors” to foul up an event, draw Secret Service and police attention, ensnare the President’s security team in dealing with this trivia, etc.????
What we are seeing with these Code Pinko treasonous freaks is nothing less than dry runs of potential assassination plots. One of these days some real assassin(s) will take advantage of what these scumbags are doing, while security is distracted and absorbed with dealing with this scum.
Code Pink and similar groups needs to be prosecuted to the max for EVERY instance of law-breaking, now. No more coddling of scumbags just because they may have a political message. You break the law, you do down. Period.
Why? Oh why was this screech owl not tased? One of these days, one of these fanatics will try and pull a Squeeky Fromme.
I may not be for hitting a woman, but in this case an exception could be made.
Pray for W and Our Troops
The folks at Monticello was the ones distributing tickets, though the Secret Service was checking everyone with metal detectors and such. Or, at least, that’s what the papers here in Charlottesville were reporting. I couldn’t go to the ceremony because the 1,000 available tickets were snapped up fairly quickly (apparently a few got into the hands of the local moonbat brigades). Still, though, a lot of people turned up yesterday looking for tickets and left rather disappointed.
Most UVA folks would not pull off this sort of shenanigan, but we do have groups that would. Several years ago, the living wage folks staged a protest in which they were trespassing on various administrative buildings. The University's president tried to reason with them for several days but eventually had the lot arrested and dragged to the local police station.
Reminds me of that idiot that threw a glass at Reagan while he was speaking. I just saw a clip of that on youtube the other week and I was surprised at how different I reacted from when it happened. I was a child then. But now? I am an adult, with an elderly father and I wanted to beat the snotsh*t out of that guy for throwing something at Ronald Reagan.
I agree, no reason for her to be breathing at this point.
