DEMOCRATIC presidential candidate Barack Obama has promised a more active approach to faith-based social programs in a bid to bolster his support among evangelical and religious voters.
Obama visited a community ministry in a conservative region of the election battleground state of Ohio today to unveil a plan to reinvigorate faith-based community programs pioneered by President George W. Bush.
The Illinois senator, who will face Republican John McCain in November's presidential election, said he would put more money and emphasis on strengthening the link between government and community faith programs.
"The fact is, the challenges we face today - from saving our planet to ending poverty - are simply too big for government to solve alone," Senator Obama said. "We need an all-hands-on-deck approach."
Senators McCain and Obama are gearing up for a pitched battle for evangelical support in November's election. Neither candidate has inspired strong enthusiasm in the religious community, normally a core Republican bloc.
Most polls show Senator McCain beating Senator Obama by 3-to-1 or more among evangelicals, but Senator Obama hopes to do better among the group than Democrat John Kerry did in 2004, when Mr Bush won four of every five evangelicals.

Does his famliy even have a dog?
That is an extremely sad, but true, fact you put up on Obama and others like him, especially when it comes to the partial birth issue. I don’t usually get ‘moved’ too easily these days, but that post really got to me.
My idiot left wing cousin is. But then again, she was in the tank for Jean Kerry.
In the Bible it say that many people will follow the wide road, filled with pitfalls and ungodliness that will ultimately lead them to damnation, while a small number of people will follow the narrow path of righteousness, receiving their reward in Heaven at the end of their life’s journey.
I think we are seeing the many people following a deceitful, ungodly man, Obama, WILLINGLY. Only those who truly believe the Commandments of God and live righteously will refuse to support or vote for a man such as Obama, who stands for such unacceptable abominations as homosexual marriage and murdering of the unborn.
Obama believes: Anyone who contracts with an abortion provider is entitled to a dead baby...Born alive or not.
Yes, government-controlled religion would be even better to the Leftists than their manufactured idea of separation of church and state. We don't want any community faith programs sponsored by Obama, if they are anything like that race-baiting, anti-white, anti-American "church" he attended for 20 years. And if he was given the undeserved honor of being President, he would staff such a program with his rascist anti-American associates Farakhan (don't care if I misspelled it) Rev. Wright and Jesse Jackson, among others.

After the election, I'm assuming this will refer to "courts of law"...
I’m a choice, not a child
I’m a choice, not a child
Mommy you hurt me
Mommy you hurt me so bad!
I am a part of you
yet I am different
I was becoming
but I never became
Just a blob of protoplazam inside you
Go ahead and do it
and don’t feel no shame
No need for shame
cause
I’m a choice, not a child
I’m a choice, not a child
Mommy you hurt me
Mommy you hurt me so bad!
As the scapel pierces me
I forgive you mommy
I know I’ll never see your face
And I’m so sorry that
you never wanted me
just cut me out
there’s no disgrace
there’s no disgrace
cause
I’m a choice, not a child
I’m a choice, not a child
Mommy you hurt me
Mommy you hurt me so bad!
cause
I’m a choice, not a child
I’m a choice, not a child
Mommy you hurt me
Mommy you hurt me so bad!
so bad
so bad

15 "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

I miss the orange one already. I’ll take him any day of the week over this steely critter.
God I love your tag line!
**”Vote your religion”, which to her means voting democrat.**
That boggles my mind too.
Aren't you glad your mother didn't have an abortion?
