Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy arrives for a roundtable discussion titled 'Making Law Work for Everyone', Friday, June 13, 2008, at the Organization of American (OAS) in Washington. In writing for the court majority on the Supreme Court's decision on Guantanamo Bay on Thursday, Kennedy acknowledged the terrorism threat the country faces and the administration's justification for the detentions, but he declared, 'The laws and Constitution are designed to survive, and remain in force, in extraordinary times.' “Making Law Work for Everyone”
Judges aren’t supposed to make the law work for anyone, that’s the legislature’s job. Judges are to interpret and apply the law to cases.
Nothing clever or funny to say. This man & his cohorts killed alot of Americans yesterday.
PING
This decision will be revisited. The Supreme Court is NOT infallible and the Supreme Court has reversed the decisions of earlier Supreme Court rulings numerous times.
Their decision should not “set precedence” for future Supreme Courts. They have not respected the decisions of earlier courts. The Constitution must change for their activism to stand.
“Judicial activist a$$hole.”
“...but he declared, ‘The laws and Constitution are designed to survive, and remain in force, in extraordinary times....”
Yes, Judge, they are...FOR AMERICAN CITIZENS...not foreign terrorists. What traitorous morons we have in our midst...
They are being attacked by the terrorists abroad & in our own country!!
The left is gaining ground to send America further on our way to doom!
He should be in an orange jump suit sweating in a cement enclosure in a tropical climate. (hint hint)
Somebody once said that the constitution and our adherence to laws is not a suicide pact. If we give equal rights to terrorists and traitors, as if they were loyal citizens, we will form a suicide pact. The terrorists use the fact that we are an open free society against us. We’ve already seen that. This Supreme court case reinforces that.
Anyone who does not know what this means..you are as ignorant as the Judge. How can the American people
have any confidence in the Judiciary when the Supremes
approve the trampling of our constitution and the blase
attitude of the wrecking crew of 5—??...they are perpetuating
the 9/11 mindset of our enemies, who are laughing like
hell of our dumb approach to their killing appetite. JK
Here’s to looking down at the little people. :D
If I had the ability, I’d program a cutout around the Supreme Court in the air defenses of Washington, DC and tell the Supremes to defend themselves by requiring the enemy get a warrant before they can attack the Court building.
This photo was taken as Kennedy ascended the podium to speak:
“Hello my name is Anthony Kennedy; and, I am an idiot. Unfortunately, I have a law degree and haven’t yet realized I need treatment for my addiction to stupid.”
The face of treason.
Tell these bastards what we think about their ruling.

Just thinking about that makes it hard to pray for Kennedy's brain surgery!
