Not good enough, we want our own absolut ad showing Ted Kennedy in jail for manslaughter.

According to dane there's no such thing as negative publicity and, us "extreme right wingers" are over reacting. Dane has a point. Look at how the Dixie Chicks benefited from their controversy!

I just saw this filth up on Drudge and ran straight to FR to see what the buzz was. Got Moran’s email addy off your post and here’s what I sent to him minutes ago:

“Moran, you are trying to create a real war, aren’t you?

Do you not understand how incredibly tense Americans are over illegal immigration from Mexico, and the Recoquista movement?

Are you unaware that fully 80+% of the American people want the invasion from Mexico stopped, and for the illegals to go home?

Are you completely unaware of the damage that the illegal Mexican invasion is doing to this country?

Do you not understand that widely distributed images such as the one you displayed in your “In An Absolut World” ad only fuel the separatist Mexican movement in this country?

And finally, how could you NOT know that using that image would adversely affect your company’s sales?

Good luck on keeping your job, traitor.

But he didn’t say that the ad is no longer ‘up’ in Mexico, did he?

Yeah, and I’d love to see a map of Sweden colored green with a giant sword and crescent on it since the muzzies are taking over Sweden. I doubt the Swedes are going to find it ‘edgy’ or ‘provocative’ like we’re supposed to.

Only 3% of Absolut production is in Sweden. Guess where the largest amount of exported product is sold and consumed.

Yep, the U.S.A.

In an Absolut world, the U.S.A stops drinking Absolut vodka, and Absolut vodka is Absolut bankrupt overnight.

There’s got to be an apology.

Well the head of the ad campaign was an Argentine ( no animosity there I'm sure). The loony thing is they're appealing to Mexicans and the ad is in English. I went to their blog earlier today they had well over 200 negative posts, not one positive. I suggested they run an ad with an Absolut New Coke mixer. I wonder if this will go down in Advertising NO-NO history.

How would the Swedish feel if Skyy vodka did an ad campaign in Germany that showed Sweden part of the 3rd Reich as being part of a “Skyy World”.

I ask this question to those at the PR department at Absolut Vodka.

I suggest that everyone respond to this “explanation” with an e-mail stating that the “explanation” is more insulting than the ad itself.

I have already done so.

Absolut does not present to me “a world that appeals”.

What did you write to him to receive such a snarky reply?

When they publish an absolut ad depicting an INS center as seen from the air ,in the shape of their bottle with a caption:

“Illegal immigration is not an Absolut Right”

I’ll buy their product again.
