LIMA, Ohio Darla Jennings walked through the streets of south Lima last night sobbing as hundreds of people behind her called for justice after the shooting of her daughter, who was killed by police as she held her baby. Tarika Wilson, 26, was shot and her 1-year-old son was wounded when Lima police conducted a drug raid on their home Friday night, prompting members of the black community to organize a candlelight vigil and demand answers from police. "They shot my daughter and her baby," Ms. Jennings said through tears while being consoled by other family members.

Don’t get too excited with these miscreants, they are blinded by their emotion. I deal with these types of people everyday and believe me, If I am the one going in first and I know there is a violent drug dealer in there, I am at the ready for two center mass. I’m going home to my law abiding family every time.

Thanks MW. I’ll have to wait until I change my browser to Firefox, since that link crashes my old Safari. I’ll remember “Cato Raidmap” till then.

Was it a good shoot? I dont know, not enough info yet.Generally when law enforcement shoots a suspect to death, in addition to injuring a small child too, they will go out of their way to publicly state that the suspect was armed.
They do this in an effort stop any public speculation that would only fuel rumors and negative relations between law enforcement and the public.

That map will infuriate you if you care about government overreach and citizens dying because of it.

I have relatives in Lima and the place is an arm pit.
They are originally from Wapakoneta and have lived in Lima for decades and only know a small town.
I am a native of San Diego thank goodness

The moral of this story is avoid people who sell drugs illegally.
The moral of this story is to eliminate all unconstitutional no-knock searches and go back to a constitutional republic. One of the main reasons for the 4th Amendment was the idea of knock and announce because the British Armies used to kick the doors down just like we do now.
Until we go back to respecting the 4th Amendment again, no American is safe. Hundreds of no-knock searches occur every year at the wrong residence and many completely innocent people have been killed by this vile and evil practice. I do not blame the police here, but the politicians.
If drug dealers are able to flush their drugs down the toilet due to knock and announce, that is a small price to pay to prevent this kind of insanity.

Is that a real number?
I think that is the number in the article at post #126, which is a very comprehensive look at the rise of SWAT in this country.

So now because I'm opposed to the government fighting a war on botany, I'm a "communist"?
You see, this is what I've seen of you. Start crap, call names.
You have no arguments...

they will go out of their way to publicly state that the suspect was armed. And yet there is not one mention, not one of shots being fired from anyone in the house.

The owner had a dispute with someone, he thinks they took it out on the dog. Not really jermaine to the conversation. My point was that pit bulls are OK around the owners kids. They are social pack animals. mine tries to hang out with my cat for heaven’s sake. Don’t know why, even I don’t like hanging out with the cat

Had the government not exceeded it’s mandate by engaging in a War on Drugs or a War on Poverty, hat woman wouldn’t have been in the circumstances she was in PERIOD.

Or even if the suspect was armed...Not good.
Due to no mention of the suspect even having a weapon, or threatening police with a weapon, my bet this was a bad shoot.

At least one of their SWAT Officers is on the board of the Ohio Tactical Officers Association for the best in tactical training.

Where did I glorify drug dealers, idiot?
Every time you go bonkers attacking police action you elevate the status of drug dealers. Every time you jump to conclusions about assigning blame tot the police.
It seems I hit upon a sensitive nerve.

They would have come out guns blazing (no pun intended, okay, maybe a small one) with that had that been the case. And yet nothing. All you get is there is a cop on ‘administrative leave’.

SEE POST 148
What “types of people”? People like me? Were you in Wake county’s SWAT (they call it something else) would you have smashed the door in of my residence and been prepared to put two very macho shots center mass at me? I managed a business, worked 60 hours a week and was just living my life. Think before you act. Think what effect you have on citizen’s before you do something stupid. Prior to my incident I would be glad to help the police. Now, unless a citizen is in danger of bodily harm they can go get their own help. I see a cops uniform and I see a liar, a theif and someone who is more than happy to abuse my rights as a citizen for his own gain. Take that one to the bank.
